I was all pumped up about trying out Xbox live to see if it was worth all the hype and whether it really was a decisive factor in not getting a PS3.

Imagine my irritation when I couldn't go on Windows live messenger from my xbox because "You are accessing from a child account." 16+/17? A child? I can legally have sex but I can't access windows live messenger from my xbox? All because I'm a child?

So when can I access the messenger, when I'm 18?
