I dont like very much hack and slash games. The only one I can sit and play and not be bored is God of War 1-2 lol.sarminiok...if u don't like the hack n slash genre, then i understand why u don't like the game and yea god of war is amazing as well...getting the new one on the PSP in march
the DMC series really is a great one i guess all of u guys have played all the NG remakes so much and are spoiled with that game so much that u couldn't think of anything else taking it's throne, lmao really though...in all seriousness...i don't know how people can think that this game isn't that good...i mean it's a 10 min demo for christs sake...it has no bearing on the story what so ever...we only got to use like 2-3 weapons (there will be TON more) and we've only seen a few combos (again...there will be TON more...especially with dante) this game is gonna be great and the story seems to me like it's gonna be good...to me this game looks like it's gonna be better than DMC 1 & 3 combined.....oh hell throw DMC 2 in there too, lol i'm so glad capcom decided to put DMC4 on the 360 cause i don't have a PS3, but overall i'm thinking it wasn't a wise choice...so many M$ fanboys like NG too much they won't give this a chance...at least rent the game and THEN judge it...not off of a 10 min demo though, that's just ignorancefiercedeity901
while I do stand by the fact that I feel a little disappointed....I do agree with you, people need to give it a chance.....I may have my negatives with it, but as we have all said, its a demo; and I will most definetly be purchasing this game

I dont know what the God of War on PSP's subtitle is though lol.
Apart from being a hack 'n slash video game, Devil May Cry 4 doesnt attempt to do anything different from it's predecessors. And that really disappoints gamers like me. Dont get me wrong, I have been following up on the DMC series since the PS days. And I know that they have chosen to stick with the traditional gameplay and level design as they did before. That doesnt cut it for me. I need to see something different this time around with some substance. Give us dedicated gamers a chance.Elann2008like i said in another post...sometimes change isn't for the best i like the change in the Wii and resident evil games but i don't think change in the DMC series would be wise at all RE games were suffering, bad...DMC is still kicking ass and isn't losing any sales really...until it does it'll stay the same, which is fine with me...it's all about the new story, weapons, combos, characters, enviroments...all of which DMC4 has
I dont like very much hack and slash games. The only one I can sit and play and not be bored is God of War 1-2 lol.sarminiWell when I played 3 it was beyond hack and slash what with the combo system combined with the trickster style. When you get pretty skilled at it you eventually just have fun just watching yourself play the game.
But that's just my opinion and I like games like Samarai/Dynasty Warriors AKA The Ultimate Repetative Hack N Slash

Yea, I respect that it has alot of fans and that it is a very well made game, but it just doesnt suit my tastes lol. It worked with MGS, I picked up Snake Eater for $10 a few weeks ago and now Im addicted to the series and have the other 2 and MGS4 reserved and paid off [QUOTE="fiercedeity901"][QUOTE="sarmini"][QUOTE="Jon_Wolfy"]Well when I played 3 it was beyond hack and slash what with the combo system combined with the trickster style. For a game to be good it needs to be amazing and revolutionary. We have been bombarded by ground breaking and great games. So games that are still fun and good aren't good enough. The bar has been raised and I'm not saying it shouldn't. I'm not even trying to defend DMC4. I'm just saying it can still be fun and great with out doing anything different from it's previous installments. It was fun then it can still be fun now.
It's like what they did with Harvest Moon DS. It was given a 5.5 rating because it was almost exactly like the gameboy version that got a 8.something.
That doesn't make sense to me.
That's like saying Harvest Moon isn't as good as Harvest Moon. or 2 is not equal to 2
Lol, the only thing I hate about MGS is the fixed camera. Good thing MGS4 changes it lol.
Yea, Ill probably buy DMC4 in a year or two but then again I dont know cause if I dont like it then I dont play it and all the games on my gamercard I play but I really hate when I have a game on there I dont have or I dont play. If I pick it up it will probably be for PS3 since Im familiar with the controls.
actually...MGS3 substence (re-realease of snake eater) doesn't have the fixed camera either...it has a camera that u control with the right analog, like most game today....same with portable ops the MGS series are done with fixed camerasLol, the only thing I hate about MGS is the fixed camera.
