Suggestions of RPG Games Like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Hi. I haven't played the latest version of The Elder Scrolls... but I do love Oblivion... and here are my comments and suggestions:

1. Party System (w/ gambit system / anything new):

Playing is much more fun when you have company... a good company.

In The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion = I have a 3-man-party me+the fan from the arena+1 archer from the black brotherhood. honestly it is one of the dumbest party, the fan from the arena will instantly die, the archer?! - damn archer keeps shooting his arrows at my behind...

-----example of a great party is: the party system of Final Fantasy Xii

2. Staves / Wands

I am a big fan of being a sorcerer... and i really love wands / staff / staves... i like my wands to be golden... and maybe with a gem...

the staaves / staff of mages in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion were... uhhhhmmmm rather looking like twigs with roots??

3. Capes

well, i learned to love being the a knight because of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion..

oh well... where are the capes? i mean great knights have capes...

Try two worlds, it's similar to the elder scrolls.

Two Worlds? Ok thanks bro, I will search it now and look at the screenshots and read about it... by the way i live here at a province in the Philippines and XBOX 360 games are rare... like for example, it's been weeks since I have been searching for the latest Elder Scrolls but they aren't available...

if i can't still find a sale of Shivering Isles, i'll just have to have my girlfriend in Florida buy any new version of the Elder Scrolls.

Two Worlds? Two Worlds was terrible. Don't waste your money on it. Two Worlds was an attempt to make a cheap knock off of Oblivion, but it failed horribly. The graphics were glitchy, the mounts were terrible, the combat system was horribly flawed, all in all it was just a terrible game.

Yes bro... here's how:

1st: get a beer to drink because this is very funny party... hahaha... it's a comedy... in the possitive side it's a great laught but seriously it's a weak party

2nd: pick up "the arena fan" - command him = FOLLOW YOUR ESTEEMED CHAMPION

3rd: go to you Black Brotherhood hideout. pink up the archer = command him: FOLLOW ME WITH UTMOST HASTE

then you're ready for battle

*the beer will come in handy when you're drunk... get ready to laugh because the arena fan will get 5 stabs at a monster the die... or run from a whisp, keep running around then die

the Black Brotherhood archer is a great fighter if you just keep away from his arrows... his arrows will mostly hit your behind than hitting the enemy :)

wow... pls. teach where can i pick up the mage or warrior? I think i want the mage...

have you tried the archer? :) the archer is really funny... i wonder why he shoots his arrows at me not the enemy... i'm still finding a tactic for the arena fan... i think all he do is hold that torch and light the way / stab mobs and die / run around and die... i wish i could give the arena fan some armor or weapon or something...

Forget what this guy said and keep reading up about Two Worlds. They just released a patch on XBL that fixes a lot of the lag and loading so that's no longer an issue.

the mounts suck at riding because, and get this, you actually have to invest points in riding to get good at it... once you do get your horseback level up, things get better.

Combat is harder because Two Worlds doesn't hold your hand and match up people to your level. there are creatures that will beat you senseless if you try to mess with them at lower levels. The magic and bows work 4000 times better than the ones found in Oblivion.

and lastly, Two Worlds is a much better RPG.

you just have to forgive the drop in frame rates, the difficultyand the horrible voice acting.

You read wrong.

Well wat he meant by party was the fact that u can find certainNPC's and tell then to follow you. It depends the person sometimes its associated with a quest and you have to take them somewhere. A great example is during the Main Quest when you have to take the heir of the throne (forgot his name but you guys know who it is) to the Blade's fortress (something clouds) he'll follow you and fight alongside you. You can play the entire game and not complete the main quest while he fights for you (HE'S good to and can never die). SO that's what he means when he says "Party"

Another example is when you become and Arch-mage in the mages guild you can get any associate to follow you.

Try two worlds, it's similar to the elder scrolls.

Good morning guys... i scanned the base of the Dark Brotherhood... You can order 2 others to become a partymate:

1. there is a lady with a dagger in the living quaters

2. there is cat-like guy with a longsword in the training room

*Cast spells to these brothers during battle so they won't die... like healing them... i think if they die, they really die and won't be there already

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee you can order mages to come along when you are already at the highest rank of the Mages Guild? That's cool! I'm excited. I think I am already a warlock... hehehe i was so focused on the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild... i like stealth.

so if ever i am able to command a mage, that will make it a 4-man-party?

a year ago when my console was still Play Station 2... there was this game that touched my heart.. i really cried at the ending of this RPG... it was Final Fantasy Xii...

i think.... i believe RPGs should have these emotional part not just horror and action....

I hope XBOX 360 will have Final Fantasy XIII someday... or any RPG which touches the heart...

Get Mass Effect or Eternal Sonata, two GREAT RPGS.

Friends, a while ago i reached Arch Mage and thanks to the one who taught me that it is possible to party a mage when you reach that position.

I now have a 5-man-party:

Party of 5:

1. me

2. arena fan

3. dark brotherhood archer

4. lady mage

5. boy mage

* i have noticed 2 things that changed in gameplay:

1. the guards and legionaires are quite mad at me when i speak to them

a. Legionaire - "I didn't join the imperial legion to talk to a scum like you!"

b. Guards - "What is it Breton trash?!"

2. when the guard called me "breton trash" i was furious and attacked him... my entire party attacked him and was dead in an instant... i noticed the lady mage took off her robe. the lady mage killed the guard wearing only bra and panty...

how could these things have happened?

If you want the Adoring Fan to help you in battle, use a rally spell/scroll to give him confidence and fight. If he dies you can pick him up from the arena.

hi bro.. thanks for your advices... wow and all the while i thought if he dies, he really vanishes... that's why i use the save-load method...

you know why i did my best in finding these characters and creating a party within Oblivion, it's because i really enjoy an RPG which involves company, teamwork and taking care of the members of your party...

it's sad when you playan RPGwhich is "1-man-army" style or the "1-man-kill-everything on sight" style of gameplay...

Gamebit System? If you want an RPG close to Final Fantasy Xii, then you might like Final Fantasy XI since its a port of the PC/PS2 version. Another great RPG game is Phantasy Star Universe and there is even a new Expansion Pack for it.

i'm inspired to buy Mass Effect, unfortunately I live in a province here in the Philippines and as you know, Xbox 360 games are rare and in few quantity....

I'm still waiting for the store here to sell one... sad... i wan't to enjoy Mass Effect like you guys...

but anyways, still no Mass Effect so I still have F.E.A.R. to finish hehehe...
