Just updated turned off for a few hours

 

Try to turn on my Christmas 2007 Xbox 

 Yup..

 

Erm...is this due to the update

 

I though on the new consoles It was RRoD free

 

Anyway any help will be appreciated

Whatever. Stop being a little whiner. When my PS3 Blu-Ray drive crapped out. Sony wanted $50-60 for shipping, then "about" $150 to fix it. Screw that. At least Microsoft will send you a pre-paid box, and send you a new one, FREE.

Just be patient.

Don't be sad man, this happened to me last night, so I don't even know what the download screen for NXE looks like. I am so pissed right now. I already talked to Microsoft and they said that my "Coffin" is on it's way. PS2 8yrs later and still kicking. Xbox 360 not even 6 months old and already shipping it back. Is the Old consoles better (Reliability wise) compared to the next-gen? Well Old consoles definitely got my vote.

Yeah, well, the quality of new products across the board are declining. Get used to it. It's not only video games. The quality of everything is going downhill. Can't even buy a decent piece of furniture these days...

You know what though, after spending almost $500 on my Xbox, I feel like I shouldn't have to deal with these problems within the same year of buying it. I have Gears of War 2, Fable 2, and Left 4 Dead and I can't play any of them. I haven't even started Fable yet and barely got to play Gears of War.:|

Their customer service is fantastic from my experiences... their hardware just has trouble keeping up.

Wow, I'm looking at 5-7 days just for the box to get here and then 2-3 weeks for it to come back to me. How is the new one they sent you working?

Perfect. Hasn't even frozen. Been about 4-5 months now. I had my first one since launch with no problems until the day before it RROD'd. It started messing up a bit the day before, freezing and crap...then the next day, RROD.
