I know that Bioware is busy with Mass Effect, but I think Lucas Art could pick out another decent developer like what they did for KOTOR II.

I dont think this franchise should end, Bioware lays out a great engine for other ppl to use for this awesome RPG.

I think there will be a KOTOR 3 sometime this generation. When it comes I hope it is more like 1 rather than 2.

Somewhere in between would suit me.

Hmm I wonder who would Lucasarts pick to develop KoTOR3. BioWare is making Mass Effect, which is supposed to be part 1 of a trilogy plus they are still making Dragon Age. Obsidian ent. is working on a new Alien RPG.

You can count on it, although it' s perplexing to think how they could bring a breeze of fresh air to the game engine. In all honesty, mind-blowing physics with level interaction were almost inexistant in the KOTOR games, not that an RPG really needs some, but even when I first got the first based on hype, I was expecting something closer to Mass Effect in terms of gameplay, I was put to my place when trying to fire my blaster on the ship.

Edit: that didn' t prevent me from spending more than 50 hours in the game!

There better be. Then again, Lucasarts hasn't really announced much at all for the current gen platforms. Let's hope they do, for sanity's sake. Discontinuing KOTOR would be a crime against gaming.

Give it to Bioware or Bethesda and I'm more than happy, they really kick ass when it comes to RPG's. Bioware done great on the original KotOR, and Bethesda can come up with things like Oblivion!

Unfortunately, seems Bethesda is going all out on Fallout 3, and Bioware is on Mass Effect right now.

"Unfortunately, seems Bethesda is going all out on Fallout 3,"

Unfortunantly!? That's probably the best news I've heard in years, if true.  Second best would be KOTOR 3
