So i turned on my Xbox today when a system update window pops up. So i pressed the button to download and i walked away for about 20 minutes. When i came back the loading bar hadn't moved at all, so i restarted the update came back 20 minutes later, and it still hadn't moved. so i guess my question is whats wrong my xbox because it wont apply the system update? and also can anyone tell me exactly what the system update is for?

I dont know if updates go on your HDD, or internall memory.

Thats the first thing I would be checking though. Does your HDD have any room on it for the download? The update has to go somewhere

Its supposed to fix some HDMI issues. I've heared a lot of people's 360 got an E-74 or RRoD after downloading it but it could be just a coincidence.

I downloaded it and my 360 works fine.
