Do you want to win or just get kills? I understand the point of getting kills and acheivments but mostly I like to win. I get sick of little kids whining about someone taking their kills.
It's a problem if you need the kills for an achievement. You do the hard work and someone else takes the glory, alot like real life. I personally don't care.
Well I dont really mind but sometimes when you get someone dwon and it was obviously yours, and then one of your team mates runs up and takes it its a little unfair. For example, I was playing Gears of War and my teammates were taking my kills like crazy, I had 6 kills and 7 downs, people below me had 5 and 0 downs etc.
i don't have to worry about that cause if i'm not doing well my team is always backing me up(i play mostly with friends) and also if you play with friends you usually don't care about taking kills. we sometimes even try to take eachother's kills lol
I prefer winning as long as people aren't blatantly kill stealing on the team. It feels so much better getting something executed as a team than it does being a lone wolf.
Kill stealing in FPS'? pfft, you'd have to be nuts to whine about that. Try playing a game where it takes huge amounts of time to kill people then getting your kill stolen, just the other night I was fighting a guy for near 45 minutes and some freakin' noob ganked my kill with a well-placed spell. Pisses me off so much. but yeah, kill stealing in FPS' is just good fun, get over yourself if you're getting riled up on that.
people get too pissed off when others take kills, even by accident. Case and point, I was playing gears and stalking someone with my chainsaw and was a bout two steps away from getting him while someone on my team (who was the host) downed him. and of course since I can't stop at pin point timing, I took two steps forward and ended up chainsawing the guy. My team mate got so pissed off and started cursing me out while me and another guy were like "dude, calm down its not that big a deal" The kid freaks out and is like "NOT THAT BIG A DEAL **** YOU!" and he ended the match.

Kill stealing can be extremely annoying in Gears, it's always like before I get an execution added to my stats, a teammate comes charging beside me and steals my kill. But I can't forget I've stolen kills many times myself. One example happened today when one of my teammates downed their opponent and I got the execution, then I repeated that. As a result, the teammate that downed those opponents for me to steal kill started freaking out and he tried to friendly kill me by shooting me all he can, but fortunately the match didn't have friendly kills enabled into it so he just got over it later on.

Secondly runescape is perhaps the worst excuse for a game ever invented and I refuse to pay a monthly to play one specific game, so MMO's are out of the question, care to keep guessing at which game exactly I'm talking about? or can you handle not knowing and just accepting the reference?

I just want to win and I think it is funny when someone is upset that 'you stole their kill'
funniest i've been in is i had 17 kills 33 downs - first place guy below me had somthing like 40 odd kills 0 downs. I was laughing at him in the end and saying how pathetic he was. I was trying to get the curb stomp, so it was easy to steal my kills and my other team mates.

you can KS in a MUD? wow, I had no idea. Alls I know is, MUDs are text based RPGs and stuff, as for anything else, its a blank yeah =PÂ
i always try to avoid it cuz alot of people complain and when i steal it i usually give that person the next downed guy i get, i don't mind if someone takes my kill tho, as along as that sucker is dead :P
haha, respect for knowing what it was. And yeah you can KS real good in MUDs, not all of them though it definately depends on the build you're playing, the one I frequent though allows kill stealing when it's player vs. player combat, it's really the only way group combat can be allowed. Regardless, yes, I am a huge nerd, but I'm sexy as hell too so it's all good.
