I'm wondering how many achievements I'll get if I just play through the game normally? Without spoilers plz. Don't need to know optional or secret missions, actually got three so far not even knowing I was supposed to do 'em.

Not very many, probably - some of the secret missions (every boss fight has one) are easy to stumble on but others are not particularly obvious. Couple that with achievements for long game time and finding every item/title and you'll probably end up with the story achievements and maybe a dozen secret ones by the end if you're lucky.

For the amount of time you put in, you'll come out with relatively few achievement points. Use a guide if you want to get a decent amount in one playthrough.

A good majority of the achievements you could get in one playthrough would have to come from secret achievements. Otherwise you are looking at 2 possibly 3 play throughs to get all of em.

Oh don't worry, I'm not concerned about completing the game. What I'm doing is in every major boss battle trying to find out the secret mission, if I didn't do it, I might reload my back up save, unlock the achievement then get back to playing. I'm synthesizing and cooking as much as I can throughout the game. Leveling up plenty too. I wonder if I continue doing that what gamerscore would come out of it? Haven't really looked at them, and I don't too. I'm one of those kind of purist nowadays. I may go back and play clean up if it's fun, if not then... it's still a great game.

If you completed everything you absolutely could during the first playthrough you can hit anywhere from 650 to 750 gamerscore. It will be hard if you are not using a guide though. So I would take the lower number. However, you do get 450 just for completing the game.

You get 100 for completing Chapter 1

You get 150 for completing Chapter 2

You get 200 for completing Chapter 3 which is also beating the game.

So thats 450 without trying. You will stumble upon random achievements like synthesizing a certain amount and doing the secret missions during boss fights, but unless your going for them you won't get very many.

I got a total of 520 for beating the game without going for a single achievement. The game is going to take you about 35-40 hours to complete if you don't do any of the extras, but its loaded with tons of stuff to do before you beat the game. Even a final form of the last boss if you do certasin side quests.

Without trying for achievements or consulting a guide you will come out with around 500-550 I believe 450 GS come from story related achievements.

Yeah, the achievements aren't necessairly hard to get, but some of them take a long time and some are extremely easy to miss. I've got around 250 hours of playtime, and I have 905/1000. If you really want to try to get all of the achievements, use the guides here:

This one is particularly helpful:
