Team Fortress 2? wheres #1????

Sorry folks if i sound retarded, but the closest I've researched for team fortress 1 i come up to Quake: Team Fortress or some other game. Maybe quake was the first one but I'm really just dumbstruck at where this series uprised from.

yeah I assumed it was a mod for the orginal half life.

All you ahve to know is that it was one of hte first team based shooters with classes and what not. And one of my all time fav online games (:
