well not all ppl who modded there consoles want online...if i were 2 mod my xbox it would be the fact tha u can get different dvd drives n get betta fans inside...i think its kinda selfish tha MS wants us 2 stick 2 the crappy hardware they give us instead of modin it..like not burnt games i dnt care bout tha but at least puttin in a better dvd drive or fans or suttin instead of payin it for bout 2months sendin it 2 ms then gettin it back playin it for like 1 month then u have 2 send it back again thas just my opinon tho could careless wha ppl think

I have standard everything and it all runs sweet, no problems. MS don't release a product that REQUIRES you to mod it.

solution: design and make your OWN hardware, that way you can "mod" it all you want! Some call MS selfish for this, on the contrary it's YOU who are "piggy-backing" their product like a parasite. Also it almost ALWAYS leads to cheating and ruining games. There's no way to filter "creative modders" from the ones who use it to create an unfair advantage.
I want to thank MS as well. 360 is looking better and better without cheaters. I'd say if you're a pirate or a cheater go play with a PC, that's your natural playground.

Unlucky man, Ive got an original XB that i modded with a 320gb hdd and a few other extras. Its only a matter of time before there's a workaround MS stupid controlling policy.
Microsoft is making life better getting rid of all cheaters. You know also what your cheating about? Your gamercard..Nice Photoshopping you did there. The Xbox live community is better without cheaters like you.

Very strange my friend. Try reading the actual "print" MS sends out about the service. You are not being cheated. If you want to mod things then dont go live.
Although the modders/pirates may deserve to burn.They are smarter than you think and they will work 24/7 to find a way round, i mean all it takes is 1 guy to discover something then it spreads worldwide.

Most of these modders "claim" they only mod their 360's for other purposes besides going on-line. I find that hard to beleive and had MS not banned thoses modders. Those modders would probably be the ones on halo 3 laughing about " oh man my cheats pwnzorzz". Good riddance. Don't come back by the way.

I glad companies are clampping down on modders or cheapers as I like to think of them. They don't belong in a game I am playing and trying to use their modded console to cheat.

The modders may find a new way around the system, but MS will find another way to stop them. It's a vicious cycle and could get expensive for modders who want on-line. In the mean time - GOOD RIDDANCE!!!

hahaha do you even own a 360.. WOW.. im glad that I can tell people that I have a "pricy DVD" player that plays gears of war and halo... best darn DVD player Ive ever bought...
