Do you mean downloaded demos on the HDD or demo CDs from the magazine?I'm assuming ya mean downloaded ones, I'd probably guess the fan works less when the games are being read from HDD rather than disc so the fan is quieter..Tis a guess like.

My neighbors called the cops yesterday on me because they said my 360 was soo noisy it woke them up.I had the sound on the tv on mute....The cops were cool about it and told me to game during the day and not at night. :)

Most of the noise comes from the DVD drive not the fans.tamsj04I think my fans are louder than the dvd drive. But, all in all I don't thinkmy 360 isloud at all.
If that were true, then it would be louder on the dashboard than whilst playing a game.Or it's be the same, which is isn't.
