Most will say Cod4 and I have not played it yet but I had an absolute blast with Rainbow Six: Vegas.-ZeRoHouR-
Yeah, I'd have to say Rainbow Six: Vegas. I've been playing it for close to a year now, and after taking a break from it, going back to it just feels great. CoD4 is great as well, though.
Halo 3 is great but CoD4 is the best simply because of how it keeps you playing. Perks, Unlocks, Customizable weapons, etc. I'm gonna leave work so i can go play right now.
call of duty 4, get seven kills in a row and a helicopter will swoop down and mow down fools in your name and you and your team (if you're playing team deathmatches my favorite by the way) will all get a ton of points toward leveling up and using perks and all that goodness.
halo 3 is a distant second, that game has so many options you can go nuts figuring out how to make something so awesome unbelieveble that everyone will enjoy and whats better than that really? not many things my friend, this year has been shooter heaven for me, i love my 360.
Gears Of War although it has its glitches it overall is one of the best shooters it is definitley the best third person and best first person is Call of Duty 4 and dont waste your time saying Halo 3 because Halo 2 had a better multiplayer than halo 2 there I said it
It has to be COD4 there have been plenty of exceptionally good shooters before that but COD4 just took it to another level and is by far the best online shooter available on the 360 in my opinion.
