im sorry for sayin but i thought assassins creed was to repetitive for me. I thought the first 30 minutes were good and then maybe the last hour. the rest in between was sooo boring. i wouldnt suggest that. i think mass effect, crackdown..maybe a sports game..and burnout is coming out..
I would recommend Assassin's Creed. The graphics, gameplay, etc are all great. Ive completed it and still play it alot. Overlord is another good one that kept me busy for a while, but you cant go wrong with AC.

I thought the investigation methods were repetative.
Assassin's Creed, Condemned, DOA4, Guitar Hero. Splinter Cell DA, just to name a few. Most of the really good titles are FPSs or Shooters though. Mass Effect is an RPG/TPS but it leans way more to the RPG side. Like KOTOR but with shooting and not lightsabers and stuff.
I disagree about Assassin's Creed for one very good reason: THE AI IS STUPID!!!
The game has no challenge and after messing around with the guards for a while, the game gets really boring. It's still one of the greatest looking next-gen games out there. Probably the best looking Non-FPS game.
Mass Effect is very good except it's graphics are choppy and the inventory sucks. Game still has great gameplay and story.
You should download the class games on Live Arcade like Castlevania or Metal Slug 3. They're great games. If you like puzzles mixed with RPGs Puzzle Quest is great too.
