Guys I am thinking of coming over to BF3. Ive been playing MW3 since launch and while it was fun at first, the game has become nothing but a camp fest just like MW2. Also, I am so sick and tired of the S@#T talking punks that populate this game. So, I am wondering how the BF3 community is? Also, how is the camping in general?

haven't played in a couple weeks.

but the community was alive and thriving then and I'm sure it's just as good now.

as for campers, it kind of depends. people camp with snipers, but that's honestly all you can do(there is plenty of skill involved with sniping at farther distances, so it's justifiable) then there's the people who camp objectives. but I honestly couldn't tell you what TDM is like though, I don't play BF for the confined feel. it's a completely different experience if you play conquest/rush exclusively. those modes are open enough that cornering down an area isn't the easiest. the game gives you plenty of space to flank and you'll learn not to run out into the open.

personally, I stick to a lot of vehicular warfare, winning tank duels feels rewarding and there's usually a challenge, whether you're being chased by 4-5 AA personnel or you're sniping the other person's tank from afar or even when they're behind a building and you can't really see each other:P

it really is a different experience though. and with that said, people don't really talk either. I can't say I can remember any instances of **** even if I were to apply all my time spent with BC2, very few people talk so there's really no one who talks **** not that it's necessarily a good thing. but I'm pretty sure BF3 restricts chat to the squad anyways, so other than t-bagging in the killcam, there's nothing else that really goes on.

I'm pretty sure BF3 is one of the most played MP games out right now. Maybe not as much as the COD but it doesn't matter when there is far more than enough gamers that you will never have trouble finding a match.

I find camping to be worse in Battlefield to be honest. Especially at spawn points.

Community is huge, people only really camp when they are playing the objective and no one really talks trash.

My friends and I play it quite a bit and I came over after Black Ops and I have to say the communites between BF and CoD are COMPLETELY different. As an earlier poster said there is very little trash talk and honestly not a whole lot of chatter at all. Most people seem to play either without head sets or possibly strictly in parties (my friends and I do the party chat). I have yet to hear anyone on BF use profanity or be rude in any way; but on Black Ops I actually made my XBOX mute everyone because every match had someone screaming something profane or ranting or wragging on someone. That's not saying all CoD players are like that or that every BF player is perfect or anything, there's always a few bad apples, it just seems more apparent on CoD.

But also, and this is just my opinion and judging from experience with both games, I feel the BF community plays the game in a more team oriented fashion. There seems to be a lot of team work going on even without people actually talking to one another, which I find very refreshing. It seems like there are a lot less lone gunmen that are just out there running and gunning all the time; I feel there is a much higher level of strategy in BF3. I do play TDM quite often, but know a vast majority stick with rush and conquest, but I have a lot of fun with TDM. The maps are all bigger, even in TDM, than the CoD levels but aren't over sized for that game type. I really feel they found a nice balance with the TDM portions of the maps.

But anyways, in my opinion you should definitely play some BF3, I mean you can always go back to CoD if you don't enjoy it. I think it's got a solid community of good players and little to no useless banter which I think is great. Plus, you can blow buildings up and who doesn't want to do that?

Community as in do people talk? I have been in about two games where people have used their mic. The majority of people are in party chat so they can work as a squad. If people on your friends list are playing it you would be best partying up with them than going solo.

Community as in do people play it? It's massive.

There is camping though, but not as bad as what I ever experienced in COD.

Great community, lots of servers available and as many others have mentioned the game does NOTHING for campers. Maps are too big and features like spotting pretty much mean you have to keep moving to be succesful.

theres camping just not as bad as mw3 cause the maps are so open you wont last long, also the community is amazing i have yet to come cross one S***talker and i got mine at launch, its a team based game so usually everyone works together. ITS THE BEST GAME EVER!
