The COD4 fanboy vs. HALO 3 fanboy battles are hilarious.

The comments between fanboys of the the two most highest rated xbox 360 games on the market as of now is hilarious. The b****ing between the two are uneeded and outdone. I hear all the time on COD4 how "OH i wanna play halo right now." or on Halo "COD4 is sooooo much better than this fantasy sh*t". These comments make me laugh in more ways than one and i wanna know which one really is better.

I used to be the BIGGEST halo fan. If you research some of my older posts you'll see that. I liked Halo 3 for about two weeks before I decided i was getting Cod 4. I much prefer Call of Duty 4 because..

1. The graphics are better.

2. I'm much more attracted to the modern setting in Cod 4 over the scifi setting of halo 3

3. Level design is much better

4. Better features.

5. Fresh gameplay (that ones the big one)

6. More intense game-play, singleplayer and multiplayer.

I don't consider myself a fanboy, I also laugh at the people who come into CoD 4 forums and start screaming about Halo 3. I don't know about halo 3 forums because I don't go to them.

Halo 3 is clearly better. COD games get pumped out each year with slight visual upgrades. Halo is the best multiplayer hands down. It has the best party system, most game types, most customization and the best gameplay. In a couple of years who is going to be playing COD4? Seriously. Halo 3 is lasting. COD is full of campers and it is the same gameplay in every match. There is no strategy in it. I have to say that COD single player is pretty impressive though. It was a blast while it lasted except for the one mission when you shoot from the plane on the screen. I love the Halo single player as well though.

They both suck.

Halo is so lame. You clip out on a guy and before you can kill him they run away and hide. THats what halo is all about, running, shooting, then hidding behind a corner and then poping out when someone else drains a guys shield and you steal the kill. Hott-FuzZ

See, this "argument" could keep going back and forth. Its pathetic and redundant. Go play your respective games fanboys, just shut up about it cause both of the games are old and boring as Hell.

Both games have their faults. After a while of playing COD4 I got irritated of the ridiculous nade lobbing and the fact that the bullets cant literally go through everything made possible. It was like little drills were being fired. Then with the problem of being thrown into games that either finish when you enter or you get thrown in on a team thats losing by like 500 points or more.

Halo, the jumping can be irritating as well as the fact that it takes an entire clip to kill someone unless of course you have a power weapon. Also their are huge problems with the time it can take to find games. There were a few times where I had reached 100+ games found. I mean if I enter a gametype with well over 100k+ people playing then there should be no flipping wait times for finding a match. The ranking system utterly fails as well.

Both games have their faults and both play very well. However I still come back to play Halo 3 more than I do COD4. I was obsessed with both when they came out but Halo wins in all honesty. Not to mention halo has always had the biggest numbers as far as people playing. COD4 never really came close. On avg today halo has 200k-400k people playing while COD4 has 50k-100k. At the peak of their releases halo had 2million or more while COD4 never broke the mil. =/

In COD4 its all lucky nade kills and campers and in Halo 3 you just need to throw a good nade and use a BR and 4 shot someone. But i prefer GOW, its the thinking mans game. All are really fun and good.MasterCS

And gears of war is terribly slow. Its all about rolling around with a shotgun or grenade launcher. Oh and we cant forget host advantage.

Wise guy, explain how my last paragraph makes no sense. I thought it was clear that Gears of War rarely plays a big part in these arguments. I also thought I made it clear that most of the flamewars are 360 vs PS3; ignoring the Wii. Please explain what confused you so much about my last paragraph.

I laugh when people say "I like COD4 is more realistic" as a game. Sure the setting is more realistic, but really its more believable than realistic (yeah I can take 5 bullets and still run around like a headless chicken). I don't think there's a single game out there that could be called realistic, because if it was, it wouldn't be fun; because you could just go out and live it. That's why I find the Halo series more compelling to me. COD4 is anything but realistic. That's why in Halo 3 it's the year 2552, becuase no one knows what it would be like to live at that time. It's a whole universe away that you can go to.

Either that or I'm on acid.

I own both games and couldn't get into the multiplayer for either of them. I played through the story lines for both and really enjoyed them both for different reasons, but I found that the multiplayer for both games to be a little too aggressive. The types of games where people start to actually freak out when they're losing and then start giving everyone else on their team a hard time. Unless it's a ranked clan match, who gives a rip?

I hadn't really played any multiplayer since GRAW 2 and then TF2 came out and I swear that disc rarely leaves my XBOX. Go VALVE!

I love both games, it all depends on what I feel like playing

Only thing that annoys me about Halo 3 is that it's kinda slow-paced. But other then that I've had alot more wtf-moments and overall more fun with my friends on halo 3 then cod 4.

I really don't know what everyone's problem is. Why can't you just like both games? I have both Call Of Duty 4 and Halo 3 and I OWN in both games. If you suck or can't afford both fine, but don't sit there and say "Well this game is stupid b/c _________", It's really getting old

I prefer COD4. Although last year about this time I was the biggest Halo junkie ever. Played it every day. But of course, I got EXTREMELY bored of the game. I also didn't like the fact that it took no strategy whatsoever (I also enjoy tactical shooters).

I mainly play COD4 now. I like getting headshots and unlocking the the challenges that go with them. It makes the game more fun.

Honestly I'd have to go with COD4 because I play it more. But I have played Halo a lot, so I'll give credit where credit's due.
