The Darkness 2 has been announced, who else is excited?

Just saw it in Gamespot's news section. I'm seriously pumped now because I loved the first game. Improve the gunplay and keep the amazing story and acting and this will be a top notch game.

Very excited, the first one was underrated. Great characters, awesome story and fun gameplay.

Hopefully if they have multiplayer it won't be as laggy

I would be fine with no multiplayer personally. The game was mainly a singleplayer/story oriented game. No need for online imo (unless its a coop).

Not that bothered tbh, I never liked the first one all that much, and the WW1 parts of the game still haunt me.

The story is the best part of the darkness everything else was bleh if you hated the story too then you just have bad taste.

The first was great, but it means nothing to the second since Starbreeze isn't developing it. Starbreeze prob could have made the 2nd even better than the first, but it sucks they're not involved.

I rented the first one and loved it. Will probably get number 2. =-)

The pacing and storytelling from the first was unreal...I can only hope that they can live up to it for the second one.

Great news! Loved the first one, though I think they should ditch multiplayer for the second and concentrate on the single player.

I've been waiting for this news for such a long time. I'm so excited. I agree that the should keep their focus on single player only.

I own the first one but never really got into it...for now! (blame Mass effect!) but from what i've played it looked promising, so seeing a second one is announced...guess i'll have to complete the first one soon even if the second one won't come out soon. =P

Not being made by the original developers so im skeptical.

They had better not mess it up by turning it into your average shooter and they had better focus a lot on the story.

I absolutely LOVED the first one, the story, voice acting, characters, gunplay and graphics were all top notch! The multiplayer was terrible IMO and honestly just felt tacked on. I hope for the second one they don't try to improve the MP as opposed to just removing it completely.

how can you not be excited? The first was a phenominally underrated sleeper hit.

I was excited until I came here and read that the original developers are working on it, now I'm scared.
