The Darkness is a good game its well made withhigh production, but it's almost ruined by sloppy controls I'm not kidding. Targeting a guy is slow and awkward and using your darkness powers while in a firefight is just plain annoying, if you are going to buy this game please be aware of this as I was not, I thank you.

I 100% agree, the controls work great during fire-fights and everything, but the creeping darkness does seriously suck.. Getting it to go where you want is nearly impossible sometimes.
The controls take getting used to, but once you figure it out they work very well especially since the game revolves less around shooting as you go deeper into the game.
i agree that the targeting is a little annoying, even at max auto aim i still have trouble aiming. if the targeting reticle was different i think the game would be perfect because overall i think the game is great and its one of the best 360 games out.
even with the auto aim off there is some aiming assist. Kinda irked me a bit in the beginning cause it kinda threw off my accuracy but after awhile u get use to it.
The darkling controls do suck. Had me yelling at the screen..."MOVE U DUMB SON OF A BYTCH!!! THEY ARE SHOOTING AT ME GO GET EM!!!" Meanwhile the darkling is busy pissing on a dude whose been dead for like 5 mins. The gunners are the most annoying. Jesus. I'm pointing to the dudes...whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhy are u behind me saying..lets kill a commie????? SON, THEY ARE RIGHT INFRONT OF U!!! SHOOT FOR GOD SAKES!!! But i digress. lol
Poor AI, and some poor controls in some areas held the game back in my opinion. I loved the game though, story wasexcellent (Quite sad too...)not to mention I liked the execution moves, and spearing people with my Demon Arm.
You can tweak aiming sensitivity & I got really good at using the creeping darkness. I think the controls are fantastic. Sorry you haveso much trouble with them.
Are you joking? The Demon Arm is not good in a firefght?! One of the coolest things in the entire game is impaling a guy while you shoot his buddy in the face at the same time! Maybe you just suck at the game or don't know how to properly use the darkness powers. Tthe only difficulty I have with controls is when using Creeping Dark.
Press Start during the game, go to Controls, then Advance Setting and you could tweak the control sensitivity and auto-aim. But I do wish when I'm using the Demon Arm I could control whatever I'm grabbing onto better. I love tossing guys, cars, and objects over buildings and fences and even onto roof tops.

I lmao'd from this for a while because it is so very true. But yeah the controls are flawed but they do not hurt the gameplay at all for me. Just takes a little time to get used to.
