Starbreeze developed The Darkness, if for that reason alone you should get The Darkness. Why pay full price for half a game when you could pay just as much for a game with *gasp* a great single player mode and a playable multiplayer mode!
No question about it, get The Darkness, you're getting scammed if you buy Shadowrun. The Darkness has an excellent single player, that tells an amazingly written story, with characters you'll care about. I played a little of the multiplayer, and it's actually got potential, I'm just waiting for them to patch the lag problem with the servers, but it has more variety from what I've seen then even Gears of War. It was cool though, to shapeshift and have the awsome gunplay be carried over from single.
the darkness multiplayer is more innovative than shadowrun multiplayer cept for the lag issues Darkness takes seconds to connect and lets u choose which servers to go into (i own the darkness) + better graphics and shape shifting : )
