The Darkness or Vampire Rain?

Should I get The Darkness or Vampire Rain? Please don't post something like those are different games, because I know that they kinda are different from each other. So I am looking to get posts by people that have played both games that can tell me the good and the bad stuff about both games. Also posts by others are fine too, because I know that they will post here as well.

dude, come one, did you even read the reviews for vampire rain or see what it looks like? If you did, you wouldnt even have to ask that question. Its people like you that fuel that people that make these absolutely horrible games. You probably just go to the store and look at the back of the boxes at the CG pics and grab one that lies about how innovative and fun it is. Your taking a step in the right direction though by asking, but next time just wait for reviews to come out and buy based on that.

Is this really a serious question? Vampire Rain is a budget priced splinter cell game. The graphics r crappy and it plays like a last- gen game. I have darkness and it is a fantastic game wit great story. Darkness all the way

I do not and have not followed any reviews for games. I do read them however, but reviews will never decide for me if I will or will not like or to buy a game. The reason is because there are different types of people and people like different things. I only follow reviews and what people say after I asked them as opinions only.

Also I guess asking a simple question most people seem to be wisea$$es about it. I do thank those few people whom gave me their real and honest answers, and I will them under advisement.

The Darkness is much better in everyway possible, gameplay, graphics, fun, except it could be a bit longer but whatever. I know you're against following ratings in reviews from what youve told us, but, you should not even be considering games that scored so low, sure, a game in the 5 or 6 area you could consider if you really think you would like it, but when you get lower than that, trust me, most people will not find a single quality they like about the game.

Well, I really liked Eragon and it got a rating of 4.2 from Gamespot and a rating of 4.7 from IGN.com. So I may like Vampire Rain even though so far Gamespot hasn't rated it and IGN.com gave it a 2.9, that rating dosn't mean that I may not like it.

Well then get both games if you want, judging by your words it seems you would regret not picking the other, but if you really must choose between the two, its safest to go with the darkness I would say

I haven't played Vampire Rain but a friend of mine told me he rented it, played it for about 30 minutes and took it back and told them it was broke because it was so bad. The Darkness is a great game but it's not really worth the money to buy because the story mode can be completed in a couple of days and the multiplayer isn't anything worth playing. So if it was up to me I would just go to Blockbuster and rent the game

First off let me say that I respect that you take reviews with a grain of salt and play what you like regardless of the score.

That being said I think you have a bad taste in games. I use game scores/reviews to help weigh the pros and cons, but when a reviewer has absolutely nothing good to say about it then we have a problem. Add to that I can see for myself how bad it looks, sounds, and plays and the result is a digital turd I'm going to avoid stepping in.

If you really like games like Eragon and Vampire Rain then, hey, enjoy but I don't think I'll be asking you for game recommendations.

The Darkness average: 82%
Vampire Rain average: 40%

Eragon was SOOOOOO bad, played it at my cousins and man thats a terrible game :lol:
