i got the death rings and was wondering what is the best solution to go about this huge problem?

Well I recently bought an elite and it had the red lights. I called support and I realized that the surge protector was the problem. If you are using a surge protector, make sure its a good one or your 360 won't get enough power. Besides that I don't know, just call ms

Hmm so thats what happened to my last 360, wouldnt work, then I would plug it into a diffrent plug and suddenly it worked.

I wish there was a way to count how many of these same threads have been started since the 360 launch. I bet it would be somewhere around 2000 with several hundred of the "red light" posts in the same thread...Heck...We're talking about 10,000 I bet......
