I can't wait for the new ES game to come out. I loved Oblivion, but I think they could improve on the Oblivion formula a lot, or create an entirely new one. What are some of the things you want in Skyrim?

A Demons Soul type of multi-player would be sweetI think a great edition would be the ability of Online play. You could have a singleplayer version of the game, and then have the same game, but make it an MMO.

Double the number of voice actors to ten and some romance options would be nice (Or at the very least allow me to seduce a chambermaid or something)
Skyrim is located in a really icy region, and even going to the border of it in Oblivion you could see the snowy plains. I hope to god there are still grassy pastures that I can go hunting for deer on a nice sunny day. My biggest fear is that Skyrim will just be a big lump of ice D:Matthewesti mean there are grassy areas on mountain tops and such so im sure there will be some valleys with open grassy areas and some trees surrounded by snowy areas in the distance. but personally i love snowy game settings, uncharted 2 looked gorgeous in ithe snowy areas

It will be better just because of the mods, but saying it's the only proper way is just stupid. I think you belong in System Wars.
I want guards that don't know you've committed a crime the instant it happens. If you kill all the witnesses they'd never know who it was...INF1DELagreed, i remember doing this dark brotherhood mission, snuck into someones house and couldnt kill the target in one hit (even when sleeping) i managed to kil him in two quick hits, but no matter how quick i did it, even without him managing to completely get up/make any noise, the second he woke up, a guard was in his house and arresting me :(

I agree. Also less loading screens. I would also like to see more restrictions on classes, Magic restrictions for warrior characters, Armor restrictions for Assassins and Theives and so on. I also think it would be nice to have more unique weapons and armor.

i think there were quite a few uniques, its just most of them were garbage :PEnemy's that don't level with you. I would prefer areas, that the further you go, the higher the level of enemy's.
Is that so freak'n hard to do?
I'd also like to see a little more imagination on the type of creatures you fight, and that go's for the same with the summoning.
I hope for your sake (360 owner) that is the case. I played through Oblivion originally on a PC and it ran like butter and the loading screens were very very quick. My PC died and wanted to play the game again so got it on the Xbox. I actually couldn't play the game it drove me nuts with all the loading. ... that and the inventory menu's. Knowing the trend in the industry though Bethesda will make the next version of TES more console friendly.less loading screens
max-Emadness
More weapon types (Short Blade, Long Blade, Spear Skill, Etc.)
This will allow ones character to become more unique and specialized.
Ok, for my wish list
No multi-player, no MMO even talked of or hinted at. It would ruin the entire mystique and atmosphere of the game and anyone who has played it throughly can tell you that. Less load times and screens would be nice, but I am willing to sit through the if the game warrants it. I don't think any new class's could be created, cuz you can already make your own customized to your liking, but perhaps a few new skill sets to add to the overall depth would be nice.
Outside of that the rest I think is just to be expected, obviously they will make some sort of new guilds armors weapons characters and so on and hopefully be sure there are as few bugs a possible before release, and we should be looking at one spectacular title for 2011.
umm a better 3rd person view. the combat always seemed a little clunky to me although i still enjoyed the hell out of it. maybe some kind of gore/dismemberment but not to fallout levels just the abiliy to chop someones head off even though it ws funny to hit someone with an axe and just watch them flop about everywhere. DMM maybe or is that asking too much? euphoria would be amazing in a game like this. tbh i dont really want alot i just wanna see some gameplay and either way ill probably still get it
[QUOTE="obiwan413"]A Demons Soul type of multi-player would be sweetTHIS. In Fallout it was something that would've made the experience so much more fun. That's why I think Fallout New Vegas ws such a drag.I think a great edition would be the ability of Online play. Why does everyone think its so easy to just "make it an mmo" you would have to have so many different game designs and mechanics to incorporate the fact that its an mmo, all focus would be lost on the core of the game, which is the single player experience and shifted into making it work as an mmo. I.E exactly what we DON'T want to happen to the elder scrolls.
Ill even go back on my previous statment a bit and say it would be ok to add a little multi player like a few co-op dungeons as one person suggested, or maybe make the arena online.
Outside of those few small implementations though I don't think anymore developmental strength should be lent to the issue.
The leveling system is horrible, I pretty much gave up. If anyone knows what "efficient leveling" is, you wouldn't get the most out of your character's stats if you don't follow the efficient leveling rules. Especially since the enemies stay with your level, you have to change the difficulty because it gets harder. I had this game for a year and never beat it because of that.
yeh pretty much, if you wanted a really powerful char you had to power level which involved A LOT of grinding with the staff of everscampThe leveling system is horrible, I pretty much gave up. i think there were quite a few uniques, its just most of them were garbage :P I agree too! Then I would like there to be armor stands that you can purchase for your house so you can display your armor sets - sort off like the armor stand with the knights of the nine armor. If your character were able speak would be cool. Also I would like to have more guilds, like 6-8, and more missions for each of them. I want them to have conflicting missions so you can't become the leader of every guild in one playthrough. Like the Fighters Guild wants you to protect someone that the Brotherhood wants you to kill. You have to choose what to do and you get kicked out of the guild that you don't complete the mission for.INF1DELYes this would be cool. I always thought my character is a bit unreal, being head of all the guilds in one playthrough.
NOCo-op! no co-op, not touching it.

NO Elder Scrolls needs to be single player only They don't have to add a lot...they could have a weapon design tool when you forge a new weapon...wait a sec, was there forging in oblivion? if not then have that as well. Obviously all the important things will already be changed (story, locations...etc) Then just some aesthetic changes like font and menu stylesI think a great edition would be the ability of Online play. You could have a singleplayer version of the game, and then have the same game, but make it an MMO.

Well first off, no multiplayer. No co-op, no online BS. Nothing of the sort. Single-player only game, please, please, please. Adding this stuff in would mean compromises in core game design and polish that would detract from the single-player aspect.
My wishlist, though:
1 - More varied environments. I know the land its set in is already pretty much a given that it'll be snowy and fairly mountainous, but I'm pretty sure there's still a good amount of other sorts of areas in Skyrim.
2 - Design the quests differently so that fast travel isn't such a necessary feature to use all the time. I feel that these games are best enjoyed when you have a bit of patience and travel in-person to different locations. But when the quests make you go from one side of the map to another and back, fast travel is pretty much mandatory. Sokeep most quests within walking/riding/whatever distance andhave more things to do when traveling(more than just the occasional bear attack and collecting ingredients).
3 - Less cut and pasting of the dungeons.I think they already went a ways inshowing theyrealized this flaw when they added the Shivering Isles DLC and with the Fallout games, all of which hadfar superior dungeon level design.
4 - More voice actors. Not a huge deal, but it would go a ways in improving the immersiveness of the game, aspeople would feel less similar to each other.
5 - As much as I understand the reason for the leveling system in Oblivion(to make it so you can do pretty much anything at any time), I think I'd prefer moreplaces that were pretty much off-limits til I was stronger. Its fun to explore and find a place that you go into, only to run in fear at the powerful beasts that come after you. Changing the leveling system would also mean no more scaled-loot, too. You could find some decent stuff by exploring in Oblivion, but you rarely ever came across anything that was like, "Woah, hell yea."
6 - Make the meleecombat a bit more engaging. Give weapon 'hits' some more weight, so it really feels like I'm slashing/smashing an enemy or whatever.
7 - Change up the class system so that you cant become a super-powerful, jack-of-all-trades character. Have it so that being a mage means you'll NEVER have the ability to be a powerful fighter or thief, and vice-versa and so on.
All do-able stuff, I think.

Yeah, they could try making it more mysterious, and the guards would try to find the culpert.
