What is the best gaming franchise to date

I say 007, yep James ond over the years has had the best games over the years, even better thanHalo, COD,and madden.

I think revenue and popularity plays a big part in which gaming franchise is the best, don't ya think ?;)

NO WAY ! i'll say NBA 2K has been pretty consistent over the years.

Final fantasy a few have been amazing while most others are at least pretty good.

I can only think of one Legend of Zelda game that wasn't top notch forme, and that waspart 2on the NES, "The Adventures of Link", I think it was? Correct me if I'm wrong, or if another one sucked.EvenZelda on the DS is awesome.

There is no best. If we had to get as close as possible to a game everyone would like, we would have to choose life, but then even life isn't the greatest game of all.

Mario, Halo, Metal Gear, Half Life for me atleast.

Zelda,FF,Metroid,Tetris,GTA,HL,Mario.All those have sold uber amounts of games.Dont forget the original Doom.Over 10 million downloaded in what,two years on shareware.That is impressive back in the day.

Grand Theft Auto... I mean come on... GTA4 alone sold more copies and made more revenue than some franchises do total across all of their games... and it has been like this since GTA3...

Hmm... I can only comment on the franchises that I play. That said, the Half-Life series has always brought a high level of quality and innovation to one of gaming's most popular genres.

I can only think of one Legend of Zelda game that wasn't top notch form...
