The Halo games - is it worth gettin prequels.

Well after giving up of the playstation (since sony seemed to be drunk at the wheel when creating games and features (MY OPINION NOT FACT)) and also ive played for hours on my friends XBOX 360 and Live and it was so much fun. Anyway.

I am getting Halo 3 indefinately, coz i loved it at my friends place and i alos want to play him online, but is it worth getting the previous Halo and Halo 2 so i can understand the campaign rather than wonder round aimlessly shooting things i think im supposed too.

Opinions and Advice welcome.

Halo 1 = great story

Halo 2 = OK story, great multiplayer thanks to Live

Halo 3 = Only play it because that's the only thing my friends play. If I could, I would still want to go back and play some truely fun games with my friends on Halo 2.

I loved Halo 1, and still do. Not so much Halo 2, but still worth getting. However, it's really not necessary unless you want to get further into the story...or just to have as a trilogy.

I got 1 & 2 and finished them both because i want to know what the f**** it was all about before playing 3.
