What's the deal? The controller works and everything but instead of only having one fourth of it lit up, it just keep spinning then stops, then starts again. It's very distracting when I'm playing in the dark.
Any suggestions of whats going on?

It still shows I have half the power left.
I think it might have to do something with media center on my PC. I stream alot of stuff from my computer to my xbox and to my TV. Movies, mixed martial arts fights, pornography.
Could this be the problem?

Nope it is definetly the battery, it could just be faulty if it is rechareable.

Once the battery gets to 2 bars it will start to spin that light to let you know to CHARGE THEM!
the worst thing about that, my friend and i were playing online halo and it ran out, so me and another guy verses 3 guys, and my friend was searching everywhere for batteries, until he found some, and they didnt work, the game was over by the time he found them. so he put in the last set at the very end of the game, then mine ran out of batteries.
MORAL: always have spare batteries AND controllers/ a recharge thingy.
Its just the batteries telling you they are "nearly" dead.
When you have 4 battery bars left = No Flashing light
When you have 3 = No Flashing light
When you have 2 = Flashing Light
When you have 1 = Flashing Light
If you still have 2 bars of battery left, do not bother changing them and just leave the controller flash.
