I have a few questionsabout the Ben-Q DVD Drives that are coming in the new Falcon models for the Xbox 360 Elites. I was interested to know if they are loud like the old DVD Drives that were in the Premiums, I also want to know if they run faster and still put little scratches in the disks. thanks

If I'm not mistaken weren't the ben-q drives placed in the 360s since like January?

Microsoft started to use them since last November, however they still use the other two drives for the 360,so it's really luck of the draw.

Also the Ben-Q drives aren't always quieter than the samsung/Hitachi drives,it depends on what model the drives are and weather you have the DC Brushless fans (Loud) or Nitec fans (Quiet).

I'm not sure how to check what fans you have. But the date is on the back of the console bye the serial number and stuff.

EDIT: I just found out that you can kinda see the fans through the cooling holes in the back of the 360. It's hard to see, but you can read the label on the fan. Mine says DC Brushless.
