2009? no even tho ms has it made there not going to kill off the 360 so early, theres to many games coming out for it, they would be killing a system after 3 years? umm no i dont think so 5 years at least, i think MS said they would do xbox360 untill at least 2011 then maybe the new xbox would comeout in 2012 tbh a new name shouldnt have numbers in it it should be something like xboxing or something lol, joke something cool like maybe name it after the chipset or give it a windows style name vista or XP

They can't afford to do that, they got games like RE5 and Prototype and other good games coming out in 2009, and Bioshock coems out Q4 2009, so either the new Xbox will have Bioshock 2, or Bioshock 2 wil be on the 360

im pretty sure he was only quoting the movie Happy Gilmore when Happy says he's gonna beat McGavin's a** on the course (golf course) and McGavin says "yea right, grizzly adams had a beard" and then theres a cameo by some famous golfer to the side and the camera goes to him and he says "grizzly adams DID have a beard" and then McGavin looks at him with some weird look like "o crap im wrong ill just walk away now"....great movie btw has adam sandler in it...
as to the thread...haha i highly doubt that not with a million highly anticipated games about come out that will last us til 2011 probably with a new console in 2012 heck maybe 2013 but deff not soon
by ways of date, it is possible that the 360 could come out late november of 2009, however I highly doubt it will happen. microsoft is fine getting their money by selling a crap load of stuff to go with it, and they've sold 19M 360's.

See that's the difference. They never made money on the Xbox and just gave up on it. There's no way they will give up on the 360 so soon.

Actually, the previous consoles ran on a 4 year cycle, so actually it's about time for another XBOX. As someone stated before, Q4 09 would most likely be the earliest we'd see it and even then it's a stretch. I would venture to guess that we would have already heard something if it was releasing next year.

You mean previous console? The 360 is a totally different story tough. They are actually selling the 360 and it may possibly win the console war so there's no reason for another one yet.
ugh, I HATE it when I just get a new Xbox, because I got mine Oct of 07 and now they're comming out with a brand new one. Like, now ill have to pay like $500-$700 to get the new one and if I dont they will stop making 360 games JUST like what happened to the original xbox.

i honestly wouldn't be surprised to hear about the next xbox this year, but i think 2010 is the year it will be out. they already said they will support the 360 way after the next one is released, and releasing a new one would be a good way to get the other one's price lowered a large amount. and ms def wants a head start on sony and nintendo again, b/c that is the only reason it was in first for as long as it was and is still in second as of right now. i'm just curious what games would go to the next xbox that are currently being developed for the 360. cause i'm sure ms would pay devs a ton of money to say, develop this game for the next xbox instead of the 360 and have it out as a launch title to showcase this new conoles power. i'd be willing to bet the price for the thing will be outrageous though, i'd go so far as to say 800 bucks for the best package when it does come out.
