I had to go with Halo 3. The 4 player co-op and the variety ofmulti-player games did it for me, plus the matchmaking. I haven't played COD4 yet but it sounds amazing.
see everyone is always talking about how halo 3 is overhyep and cod is better but it still wins in the polls, where it reallycounts and please, please make a top ten in my top ten topic on the second page, thanks
i've played halo 3 for about a month and got a little sick of it then got CoD 4 and love the hell out of it, but nothing can beat Rainbow six vegas, great story, good co-op, great multiplayer, i would still play it if i didn't have mas effect and CoD 4 and Assassins Creed, lol.
rainbow six was a good game, could have been better if they fixed the "special operations" achievement, fix some glitches like you see the guns poking out when u use spycam and made more customizable armor and revamp all the old ones to make them look better and all that.. but i like cod4 more

I did the same thing. I completly rejected halo 3 after a month when CoD 4 came out. CoD 4 is so fun! Then Assasins Creed and Mass Effect (which is the best game ever) came out and there was no chance that i would ever return to halo 3. Cod 4 owns Halo 3 because its so intense and doesn't take a clip and a half of ammo to kill someone.
I went with Call of Duty 4 because the story is simply amazing..I got so in with my team and at the end of it

When Gaz Died i was so annoyed and upset lol but then i just smiled and went online which is awesome...Halo is too unrealistic for me...i know its not ment to be realistic but i choose real war games over the futuristic ones =)
halo 3 becuase it is faster then gears and i just prefer arcade over simulation so no CoD4, for instance i prefer burnout over PGR aswell as halo over CoD.
It's a hard choice, but for replayable value as opposed to Bioshock, it will have to be Call of Duty 4. It owns Halo 3 - that was a real disappointment - and Gears of War just falls short perhaps - maybe on the same level, but it is just 'old hat' ^^
My vote goes for one thats not on your list. I say G.R.A.W./G.R.A.W. 2 (since 2 is basically a continuation of the first rather than a whole other game). I'm a huge fan of the Ghost Recon games.
Personally, feel that Call of Duty 4 had a superb single player campagin and also an awesome online...but if it had co-op would have made it even more better!

Perfection? Halo 3 is a great game but it's far from perfect. Anyways I pick Call of Duty 4. Solid gameplay and the ranking system keeps you wanting to rank up to get more guns and perks.
Well I've only played Gears, Bioshock and Rainbow Six and from that list I voted Gears. But I have ordered CoD 4 which i should get in the next couple of days and hopefully will get Halo 3 from someone for Christmas.
I voted Rainbow Six: Vegas because after all this time I still play it, the community is still growing and the ranking system is superb, also it doesn't take a full clip and half of the other one to kill someone. Halo 3 is also great but im just not hooked enough to say it's perfect or so. Also, the call of duty 4 beta was amazing but sadly I haven't managed to get the game since my xbox broke 3 days before the game came out and im stuck using my cousin's xbox. I must say Bioshock is also a great game but a 2 player coop option would have been amazing.
i have only GoW and Halo 3, and out of those two, Halo 3 wins in MP (GoW DESTROYS Halo in campaign, though). but i have yet to play CoD4 so i cant comment there
Bioshock and Gears have ridiculously addictive gameplay. Halo 3 is extremely fun, but not quite as addictive. Haven't played CoD4 yet, but I know it's really good, and I'm about to pick it up in addition to R6V.
its a very close call for me. I loved Gears but it seems a little outdated though still fricken fun. COD4 is so damn intense online and has a pretty good campaign. Halo 3 has a very good campaign with ok multiplayer.
they is no shooter that has came out ever that can top cod4 it's great single play and online xbox live you can play for hours and hours and with all the game modes never gets old.
