I would buy it without the beta. Paying 60-70 bucks (depending on where you live and stuff) for a beta is just stupid. Plus im not that big a halo fan so it's not really motivating me.
I just loved the demo and enjoyed the agility skills.
I'm gonna try to pick it up but likely as not ill not go till the weekend

I bought mine at Wal-Mart, only pre-orders get the Beta. I bought the game because I enjoyed the demo, I don't care for Halo. The thread has nothing to do with how much you don't like the game but want the Beta.

on a separate note, I was amazed when I was ranting online in halo 2 about getting in to Halo 3 beta, most people did not even know about the opportunity to participate, or even that beta was even being released. I guess everyone's not that interested.
I just picked mine up at Gamestop, You don't have to pre-order it to get the halo 3 access, its just that most stores copies are pre-ordered. I was lucky because , they only had one copy for sale and the cashier thought i was on crack because i didn't want it for the halo 3 beta. Your able to get the beta if you know a store that doesn't do pre-orders, because its pretty much the first shipment of games that are coming with the beta. You also get a little piece of paper inside saying " congrats on getting an invitation to halo 3" and then gives you the dl on when its available, also make sure you download it when its available because it also states that the beta is limited and that the option will be grayed out at a later date to download it from xbox live.
