Sorry if this has been asked before, but what exactly is the "falcon" systems that are to be released. Is it just a system with just a new heatsink in it, or does it also include some kind of chip or something? Im just a little confused about all this here. Oh, and does anyone know when they are going to start shipping the new "falcon" systems? Thanks

My guess is that no formal announcement will be made, you want a 360? Just buy one. If it breaks, then return it and pick up a new one. They really don't break much, ever heard the saying that the only people online complaining about something are those its happened to?

The 360 does have heat issues. However if you keep it vertical and in very ventilated place thats air-conditioned, then you really should have no issues. :)

I have a 360, ive one since about 2 months after launch. The reason i am asking is b/c i am going to buy an elite sometime soon, and i wastrying to get some info to see if it would be worth it to wait for the "falcon" systems or to just get one now or in the next month or so.

The main reason I stress vertical is because of the location of the motherboard. It seems like the 360 getsthe hottest on the bottom where the motherboard is. So I stand mine vertically.

I'm glad to hear you have no issues with your horizontal.

Now I have no scientific evidence to back any of this. Its more or less a judegement I made based on my years of computer experience.

Vertical or Horizontal. I guess it makes no difference. :P
