All 3 versions rock sock...but the 360 version is the more gimped of the 3. PC has god like amounts of extra content thru mods...PS3 version has a lack of lag and reworked draw distance and custom texturing....360 version has Shivering Isles...which is comin or out for the other versions....so.....at least you have a solid game on any platform...imagine those poor poor low end PC owners trying to run this game and cryin when they can't lol!!

Edit: The patch while nice isn't on par with the PS3 version dude. I logged over 200 hours in with the 360 version and am now currently loggin in over 20 with the PS3 version...PS3 has cleaner framerates, faster loads, and better draw distance all round...the patch makes Shivering Isles run a wee bit better but only because the expansion demands more from the console. HOWEVER, as a veteran of the 360 version I can say this...it delivers the same experience the PS3 version does....the minor technical issues are something only the most fussy gamers will complain about in truth.
Acheivement reason is valid but the downloads one isn't. The developers did say that the expansions will be available to all systems sometime this year (PS3 will be getting them). I'd say if I didn't own it already for 360 I would have gotten it for PS3.... you get better graphics, load times, draw distance, AND you get the Knights of the Nine expansion for free. I'd rather have a free expansion than achievement points.... Of course if you like mods then the PC is the way to go.
All in All its a great thing ALL systems get this awesome game.
Why would you have the same game for 2 consoles?martin_fSome people would ask you why you would waste your money on a 400 - 600 dollar console....some people want more.

True, but you're forgetting one thing: The game on the "other system" looks cleaner due to HDMI, while the 360 is restricted to good old component. Try playing Oblivion with VGA (or better yet, using HDMI when the ELITE comes out - that is, if you plan on getting it), and I'm pretty sure it comes VERY close to the graphical quality of the "other system". It won't improve the stuttering or anything like that, but it will certainly look as sharp as the other versions. ...then again, I could be VERY wrong....[QUOTE="_LEGIONS_"]

I hate the gam eon the PC. There is no incentive to actually play or complete it. The 360 version is so much better and you have to actually play it instead of using some god mod. The controls are also much better with the controller.[QUOTE="_LEGIONS_"] I can't play Oblivion on the 360, because once you come from a PC, the amount of content mods add to Oblivion is staggering. I bought the PC version first, but I play the 360 version instead because I like the controls better. My TV is also twice the size of my monitor... I could hook my PC up to the television, but that doesn't solve my problems with the controls. And it runs smoother on the 360 without having XP in the background.

HDMI does make a world of difference...but still....I'd put money on the PS3 version simply because it had a year of tweaking added to the games code not via a patch. Despite this...Oblivion is amazing on any console/PC[QUOTE="Slipin"] I can't play Oblivion on the 360, because once you come from a PC, the amount of content mods add to Oblivion is staggering. I can see the 360 version being better for you if your PC isn't that great, but for me, it looks much better on my PC, and I run it on my 61" DLP HDTV.
Even for the drop in graphics one may get, I think the mods more then make up for it.

I do love mods but I do not like haveing crashes every five min.
I think I'll take everything I said back......as some of you know my 360 has just been sent for replacement.
So my conclusion is that the game(s) is/are awesome, but going through more than one console is starting to get to me.
I know that others have vented their frustrations of the 360 version locking up, DRE, etc....so I'm not the only one feeling...."manic depressive" about it.
Then again......I love the achivement points!!!
