Hey, this may just be me, but has anyone noticed how the red ring of death has practically disappeared? I've had my xbox 360 for well over a year, and the only times I saw red on it were when I didn't have my cords in correctly. If anyone has anything to say about it, please respond.

Newer models like the slims and older xbox's with the new chip sets have a much lower fail rate plan and simple. The original chip set was the one that failed so many people but after the falcon chip set and onwards it been getting better. You more likely to get a failing disc drive now then the RROD.
