I have preordered the Regular Edition from GameStop(got a poster and a cd soundtrack that looks like an old record) for the Xbox360, and then I also preordered the Collector's Edition from Best Buy(got a Nuka Cola metal bottle opener and a $5 off coupon towards the strategy guide) for the PS3.
Call me crazy, but I think that Fallout 3 is going to be that great of a game like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion that it is worth it to get it on both console systems. As I do have The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on the Xbox360(Collector's Edition) and on the PS3(Game of the Year Edition and the Regular Edition to fix the Bloodgrass glitch).
I just can't wait to play this great game.

So are you getting the Regular Edition or the Collector's Edition or the Survival Edition of Fallout 3?

Okay well just in case you didn't know Fallout 3 is made by a company that you trust, which is Bethesda Softworks. Also it is not going to 'flop' as it will atleast be as great as The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion or it might just be better. I do know for me it will be better without a doubt and I am an Obivilonholic.

Exactly its you're type of game and I do trust bethesda but im nervous about fallout, I love The Elder Scrolls series though, I have a feeling that it wont be MY type of game even though The Elder Scrolls is MY type of game :). I guess I want to back off of the "everything is dead" games since we have gears coming out and that im a big fan of Fable :), I worded it wrong my apologies ghstbstr :D. P.S. sorry about all the commas :?.

regulation edition for me, dont see the point of special editions, they just cost more and aren't worth the extra money imo

I'm sure it's safe to say, that Fallout's chances are good at turning out to be great.

I preordered the Special Edition at Gamecrazy for the 360. When I heard of the soundtrack I called Gamestop but they said they gave them all out already. I always get the special edition (I would never get a version like the Halo with helmet or GoW with lancer though). I never heard of a Survival Edition.

You most make a lot of money or not buy many games to get three copies of the same game. I have about 12 games I want to get and can't buy the same game two or more times.

Yea I agree. Now if it would have the same features(of couse non-working) like in the game then I would get it and it would be worth it, but for it just being a clock for another $70 over the regular edition or $50 over the collector's edition it is a waste of money. Also I believe it to be made out of plastic instead of lightweight metal like in the game.

Yeah. I might always pay $10-$20 more for a collectors edition, but paying $50+ is getting kind of crazy.

I reckon this will pan out like Halo 3 did.

many buy normal

some buy the mid price one but have problems with it

There won't be many of the highest price ones and everyone will be selling them on ebay for twice like £150

just get the regular edition. You should be pumped about playing the game, not about the extra crap that comes with it that you dont need. save your money for something else

I think i am going to get the survival edition, that alarm clock and lunch box are pretty freaking awesome. I cannot wait until this game comes out, i am almost more excited about this game than Fable 2. I have been following this game since they announced the project, its going to be an amazing game to say the least, mixes two of my favorite games, Bioshock and Oblivion in both their unique gameplay aspects and the first person rpg feel.
