I think it is horrible that the Sims 3 is on consoles. The controls never work that well (on consoles), and you could just get it on the PC. I mean, it shouldn't have very steep system requirements to play it. Anyone else think the same/differently?
Don't you realise that it will be just the same as Sims 2, but you will have to re-buy all the expansion packs - you know, just like you did when Sims 2 came out after you bought all the Sims 1 packs.
Wait a minute... has it even been officially confirmed for consoles yet? I can't find a single story about Sims 3 coming to consoles that isn't speculation.
GameSpot seems to be contradicting itself. They have Sims 3 gamespaces for PS3 and 360, yet in their story about the announcement of the game, they say, "There is no mention of it coming to any console platforms."
If I had to guess, I'd say they're going to make the PC version first then port it to consoles later, just like they did with The Sims 2.
I don't know way EA bother, I see it as a 'point and click' game which I have never thought worked well with a gamepad. EA want to get The Sims franchise established on consoles, probably because of piracy issues. The Sims is probably one of their best selling game on the PC. I am sure if it makes it on the consoles they will eventually phase it out of PC gaming.
maybe not on 360 and ps3 but on wii with the inovative controler it would be so cool. its pretty much just like a mouse if u know how to use it right.and i dont think it would kill the game not having a keyboard
It seems to me that they are just wasting their time putting it one the 360/PS3 when they could spend more timemaking the PC version better.t8trg8tr

I agree that Sims 3 should not be on any consoles. It is soooo much easier with a mouse. Unless you have the keyboard and mouse peripheral for your 360 don't bother with Sims 3 on a console.
i thought Sims 2 was TONS of fun(im a fun of sims) i really liked the controls - i really enjoyed it - i think it will work greatly with sims 3 as it did with sims 2
If Sims 3 doesnt hit the 360 then I wont get to play it so yes i hope it gets released to the 360. I just hope theres something to freaking do besides get promotions at work. After I hit level 10 in a career path I usually lose all interest. I really really loved Sims 2 Castaway. The gathering and building mechanics were freaking sweet as hell, but once again after you build the biggest and baddest what is there left to do??
I am 80% sure that The Sims 3 will not come out at launch for the consoles. I'm not sure if they would make them for the consoles later but if they do, it will most likely not match the superiority of the PC versions. The PC versions usually have more things to do rather than the console versions.
one of my fav sires of games, loved the first n the second one just rules, the sim games are diffrent on console compared to pc, but ill be getting it problerly for both pc and 360.
i rely do hope they put it on 360 i mean id be beta playing it in my room where i can add my own music to it and do what i want then having to store up a lode of space on my mums computer then it having to go slow all the time plus if people dont like it on 360 then don't buy it, its still on PC so whats the prob with it being on 360 and over things u know
Agree. It would make the game alot more acessibble to us losers with junk computers. This is precisely what I love about consoles versus computers, you pay your 300$ set price, rather than the possible 1000$+ you would put into a computer, which you would just have to buy a new video card for two years later. In all honesty, I don't see how the control scheme for TS3 would work with a console though, all it was really skimmed down. And I don't want some kind of spin-off, I want a real sims experience.

I agree as well. My wife would be thrilled to be able to "sim" againif they released a 360 version. Personally, I couldn't care less.
