I personally enjoy Mass Effect a whole lot. But I don't think it has a chance at GOTY, seeing as other 360 games scored higher then it and it wouldn't make much sense for a 8.5 game to win over an 9.5 game.
Hmmm a toughy... Assasins Creed is wonderful...but same old same old gameplay... whereas Mass Effect is awesome....but a little clumbsy with the controls... tough choice
mass effect so far has shown me its the best single player experiance on the market right now.
as addictive as Assassin's Creed is, the glitches can almost make it unplayable sometimes. (once every couple hours i have to turn off my system cause Assassin's creed is stuck and all i can do is move my camera around.)
I bought Mass Effect a week ago and it is easily the best game I've played all year. So I say ME is the best SP experience on the 360, but I haven't played AC yet so will it take ME's throne? IDK, but I'll find out soon.
