It's just protective covering right? As in the thing itself is not a memory card?

Because I was almost going to invest in a freaking transfer cable so I could transfer my saves to a 60GB Hard Drive (I have no XBOX Pro with the 60GB), but then my friend told me I could just slap the 60GB hard drive on after removing the covering.

Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks for your help!

(P.S. By doing this, can I transfer my saves from the Guide Button > System Settings > Memory? Thanks for the help!)

The plastic grate thing? Yea, its just plastic. The old Arcade models came with a memory card I think and the newer one has it built into the console.

Yeah man don't worry about the plastic thing. Remove it from your Xbox and throw your HDD on your Xbox it and set the grate to the side. Don't throw it away. You may find a use for it some day.
