The worst has happened

I got the dreaded Red Ring of Death over the weekend.  Microsoft is sending me a prepaid shipping label and a box to ship the console to them for repair.  Any idea how long it takes to get it back?  How long am I going to be without my console?mjw1970

Did you return yours to the store or to Microsoft?  Mine was about six months old, so I couldn't return it to the store anymore.

it took me about 3 weeks :( i don't rate Microsoft's service very high at all. UPS on the other hand, they were proper good

Mine got the Dreaded Red Ring Feb. 14th just a wonderful Valentines gift. Called as soon as they opened at 6 am pacific or 8 am Central IOWA time and waiting for my BOX! They said my box should be here in 2-3 business days. I know the weekend makes shipping slower but they said its coming by UPS. I was told usual repair time is 3-4 weeks. I guess they stopped using FEDX. I hope it comes back repaired and not the hassle that others experienced. I had a gut feeling about this when the console was running louder and my games were freezing a lot.
