Xbox Live
Microsoft's online gaming service, Xbox Live, comes in two different services;
1. Xbox Live Silver. This service is free of charge and allows users to create a profile, access Xbox Live arcade and talk to other members. Silvers members are not aloud to play games online.
2. Xbox Live Gold. This is a paid service which supports the headset for voice communication and the Xbox Live Vision camera. Xbox Live Gold has the same features as the silver service but adds online gaming.
To get Xbox Live Gold, you need to:
- Link a Microsoft Passport account to their gamertag on xbox.com (aka. have a hotmail account)
- On the Xbox 360, go to your profile and enable Xbox Live. You will need to provide the console your passport account information and a method of payment via credit card or buy a subscription card at your local video store.
- Xbox Live Gold cost $49.99 UDSin the United States and $79.99 CDN in Canada per year. Payments can be made every month, every three months or once a year.
