Don't be fooled. Atleast 10 of those 15 exclusives will be kinect games that no one gives a crap about. I don't think anything can really help Microsoft at this point. The used game fee is a huge thing to people. Some people only buy used games, some only buy like 5 games a year, but a lot of people rent games and it has always been that way since gaming came about. I completely agree that the used gaming market is bad for publishers because that's money they aren't seeing. But punishing the consumer is the wrong thing to do, punish the ones that promote used games (Gamestop).Â
It was the media's fault they didn't clarify? No one but Microsoft is to blame for this disaster. The conference itself was terrible enough (I mean really, a console should be first and foremost about games, something Microsoft completely overlooked), but then the post-conference messaging was so confusing that I got the feeling that even Microsoft's executives weren't sure what policies were in place or what they should be saying.Â
Phil Harrision said he thought the console required an online connection at least once every 24 hours, but then Microsoft backtracked and gave completely nonsensical PR responses to that and the issues of mandatory Kinect and a potentially anti-used game system which was in place. Then we have Don Mattrick, who apparently thought he was being funny when he said "if you're backwards compatible, you're really backwards". The f*ck, Don?Â
Microsoft itself had months after Sony's conference to come up with a great response to Sony's showing. Instead they completely blew their chances with a showing all about TV and Kinect (which I might add, is now being forced down everyone's throats). It was Microsoft who created this clusterf*ck of confusion when they refused to give us any solid answers, as they tried to dodge any question directly aimed at the console's controversial policies and instead offered up the normal bullsh*t PR responses I've gotten pretty sick and tired of hearing. And then they have the nerve to act bewildered, as if it was the media's fault that the public reaction was so poor.Â
F*cking hypocrites.Â
I believe they did it all wrong with focusing so much on the tv side of things, and nowhere near enough time on games! Â I know E3 is coming up, but first impressions are what count and Sony killed microsoft in this department, I agree with the poster above, most of the exclusives are going to be Kinect games which no-ones gives a crap about.

Poor execution I say. They should focus on game reveal, then later, another conference for the new OS.magicalclick
That's what I'm kinda shocked about, considering alot of people weren't impressed with Sonys reveal I just knew MS would come out swinging!!! Instead...they made Sony look like the better choice(AND I DO MEAN LOOK)which even now I really don't trust either company considering the CONTROL they want over software next-gen.
