Theory on Resident Evil 5

I know we don't know much about the next installment of Resident Evil but I just had an idea about the plot. I read somewhere that the location looks like it might be somewhere in Mexico or a city near a dessert. What if the the protagonist is Chris Redfield and he isn't walking through a city near a dessert but Raccoon City after it was bombed? In the intro to RE4 it shows that the government cleared out Raccoon City by blowing it up. What if they blew it up with nuclear missiles and all it did was mutate the zombies and they survived the fallout? So what is everybody's thoughts, theories, and/or ideas about this upcoming installment?

The city WAS NUKED. havent you played the old RE?? The ending was always Racoon City being Nuked. Even in the crap movie version it was nuked.

to TC: Dude get with the times. They already confirmed the setting is Africa and the guy is Chris Redfield. STARS is disbanded and the games producer's said that the reason why will be a major part of the story. It's no way the remains of Raccoon City.

dude it's africa but ya nice thinking btw you know how i think it's africa? theres videos of the game developers playing it and notice how there aren't any white looking or mexican looking people. and they put baskets on their head in the video i don't think it's raccoon city.A22A221N_47

Well ive just watched the interview of this game.

The producer said that it isnt anything related with RE4.

Im thinking it set in africa, but good thoughts mostly you have.

Nice theory, but there are a couble of big mistakes.

1.It takes place in Africa

2.They're not really mutants, but messed-up humans

heh well that would explain it.

I think it's funny he thought it was a post nuke raccoon city. The setting doesn't look anything like an american city. Not to mention that the area would be too irradiated to go anywhere near. And I could understand thinking it might be somewhere in the middle east (what with current events) but, come on, mexico? I'm no expert but those zombies sure didn't look mexican to me.

It actually sounds interesting I just hope Co-Op is a little better or no Co-Op at all haha
