I don't think you understand that at one point in my life I was 13-14 year old kid. You know what though? At that point my parents brought me up to know enough of what was right and wrong. If my kid, at that age, was acting like a fool on xbox live...and didn't want to listen to me? Ohhhhhhhhhh man, he'd see the military side come out of me real quick.

I know I am missing out on some good gameplay but this is why I have no gold account. I read a lot of all the negativity and racism during online play on both this board and the X-Box board. Now I am also sure there are some very great people on Live as well so don't think I am generalizing every online player. However as a gamer in my mid-thirties who has a family and runs a business the last thing I want to do with the little gaming time I have is weed through  the ignorance and stupidity to find people to play with. JMO
Yeh i have started to notice this recently, today some guy was calling me an emo when i was on gears and yesterday some guy on rs:v was calling me Chinese and saying all Chinese people have big wieners. By the way i am neither of these.

Some of us have the upbringing, the education and the self control to not be a complete jack offs in public. Despite being 6 foot 6, 320 pounds.
i have never used the mute function but if this does happen again i will do thatI keep the mute on all the time now, unless I am playing with a group of friends. IMHO it should be muted by default. A nice little 'mute button' would be nice, instead of having to slide the volumn control down to zero.
Also on gears just host your own then kick anyone who behaves badly out. I have played with a few people who do this and it makes a good experience. Also I notice how people act and add them to my friends then try to play with those on the list. BTW 30 and Game still, Me and my wife and our kids.:D
Yeah it does get annoying, especially when guys who think they need to show their authority over 13 and 14 year olds. Me like anyone else hates when a kid talks the entire time, but some really are good players and are respectful. I just own everyone that badmouths me/mother/religon so they havenothing to say. Also to ute someone go on their Gamercard and select mute at the bottom.
