I don't think the best games are chosen or not. Spiderman 3 is coming out and they want as much people to buy that game as possible. They don't want any "I have Spiderman 2, and don't feel like spending money on the third". They wan't you to feel like spending money.

No they don't, but considering it's been more than a year and we don't have a full BC, it would be nice for them to make it BC.Â

No they don't, but considering it's been more than a year and we don't have a full BC, it would be nice for them to make it BC.Â
For course it would be nice. Lots of things would be nice. But you cant force people to do anything with silly petty demands.
backwards comp. is not first and formost about a popularity contest. It's about looking at each individual games code and seeing what will and what will not be easy to emulate. Hence the reason Barbie is there before Chronicles of Riddick. Some games have code that is not easy or even able to emulate well on the 360 do to diff. Procs and GPU's.
Just because a game you want to be on there is not on there doesn't mean they haven't tried to get it there or aren't even still continuing to try. It very well could be they tried far more than they should have and still have no luck with it.
To solve your mistery. Download an N64 emulator. Surely your recent PC outclasses the n64's specifications in EVERY way imaginable. Yet you will find certain titles run HORRIBLE even if you have a DX10 graphics card with 4 gb of ram and a 5ghz processor... it's just the way the cookie crumbles.
