I have a very specific beef with the avatar system. My ultimate disappointment is finding an article of clothing I really like in a color I dislike, then finding I am denied the option to remedy it simply by changing it's color.
I can't really think of a reason that including a simple color wheel option to alter clothing colors was left out. It would improve a lot of things in my own opinion. Until then, you are stuck with something you like a little less because the thing you like alot is in a color you can't stand.
Lots of people say it's a rip-off of the Mii's, but honestly, So what? This happens in gaming biz. I am sick of the Nintendo crusaders complaining about that, Nintendo isn't complaining why are they? Acting as if a good idea being copied is a bad thing would be stupid. Mii's were a good idea, made the system more interesting. Xbox adopted a similar idea, now the system is a little more personal as even the shoddy options allow for a little personality.
Again, the clothing needs a color wheel with multiple color options to allow me to look good in the things I like, for instance, the Shirt with the Xbox power button insignia, I would wear that is I could make it black with a green symbol. (Or white with a red signal. Think about it, you'll get the joke.)
some customization is better then none but more could have been done easily to produce greater result. It's like Halo 3, the customization is limited and boring, more would have been cool. Although, in Halo 3's defense, it didn't NEED it at all and it was a refreshing extra that I think I would probably respect Bungie for.
