You did something wrong, Microsoft acted on it, and now you're mad.
Well that's how life works
What did you expect? Did you expect Microsoft to say "look we know you totally broke the rules and deserve a punishment but because of how long you've been a customer we decided that we'll let it slide"?
You had years to fix what was wrong and you failed to do it, for years. Also you shouldn't have had to fix it because you knew the rules going in, each and every time the ability to add more personal content happened from last gen to this gen all customers were notified of it and given the rules about it. I know that I got mine when the switch happened and so did you.
I've also been a member since last gen and I've spent a ton and convinced others to spend a ton and I'm glad they don't let crap like that slide. You're the one that did something wrong. Heck, you're the one that couldn't leave well enough alone and had to go annoy someone you played against so chances are they looked at your bio and saw that you broke the rules and you made their day. They are now the good guy.
Just to go over this one more time...
You broke the rules for years, knew you were breaking the rules for years and did nothing, then while still breaking the rules you attracted attention so there would be an even greater likelihood you were caught and now that you are you're upset.
Follow the rules, don't get in trouble.
Oh, they did warn you about putting things in your bio, it's in the terms you agree to before you can make your bio. That's the warning, that's the "hey don't do this because we're going to have to punish you" and you read that, broke the rule, and then your excuse is that they didn't warn you?
Read over the terms of service for Live (which are rediculously easy to follow and doesn't limit anyone that wants to express themselves in a socially acceptable way) and that's it
Piece of cake
I swear I gotta stop updating this......
When someone quits on a game you're allowed to avoid that player, that's it. They don't need to be punished for it because you don't even know why he left. Sure, I'm betting 99% chances are that he was mad but we don't know that and because you're one not to take chances with that happening a second time put him on your do not play list and you're done.
