i like gow, i just created this topic to see what people don't like about gow online. below is my list is about things idon't likeabout gow online.

everygame needs halo2 s matchmaking system. Its anoyying to have to wait for peaple to join when you can just start a game with everyone all at once

Pretty much, and the host advantage, but that is kinda covered by lag.

hate being sucked into chainsaw 10 feet away

I hate when you shoot the host like five times in the face, and he shoots you once and kills you.

It's when the host has a stronger shotgun which basically has the damage of active reload I believe.

The fact that people only use shotguns. It's not much of a game when it's about a minute long and consists entirely of people firing all their shotgun ammo and active reloading while running into the centre of the map, where they'll all roll around blindfiring shotguns. I prefer Lost Planet where people actually use other weapons.SpigleyMcCheese

Ummm are we playing the same game? Every weapon in the game gets used. Every power weapon on the map is pretty much guaranteed to be grabbed and used each round, and now with the patch, the lancer is just as useful as the shotty.

The only thing that really bugs me is quitters. I've been playing lots of 3-round matches lately for the map achievements, and people quit after 1 round in around half the matches. Seriously, who the hell can't stick around for 2-3 minutes for a game? Where are these people all going?

#1 glitchers that glitch but only get killed!

#4.Lack of team work during ranked matches

#5 The one Guy who has to go off the map and run untill the timers up!

but in all i do love Gow Online

No, I don't think the game sucks if that is what you meant, I'm just not skilled at the online multiplayer. Do enjoy the single play though.

I dont like that Halo 2(xbox game) has better online options then GOW.

I cant play with friends in a competitive match, heres why:

• Unranked games only
• Waiting for people to join causing to separate team
• If you start game people join but then leave because they cant wait till next round
• Complaints to start the game even if its uneven from some random person who joins upand cant wait
• Weapon Customization is very slim, forced to start with 4
• For some reason friends cant join certain friends lobby.
• If host quits session not available.
• Worst Host advantage I had ever seen. They should try making the host weapons slightly weaker or something.

I don't think host shotgun is actally stronger, i just think that since host doesn't have to worry avout leading due to lag, they get their shots off faster and more accurately, so it seems like their stronger, when they really just get better shots off. I like gears, but it is one of the most frustrating online experiences.JuicyJay08

Yea, that's what is is. For the host, what you see, is what you get, if your opponent is in front of you when you fire, your shots are gonna hit him. When you're not the host, you'll likely only skim a moving target unless you lead your shots.

Also, I hate the sniper rifles power shots. It's so easy to hit that big *** relatively slow moving target in the body to take him down and then finish him.

i agree with 2 through 5 but 1 is part of the game and there are good ways to stop it but yeah host advantage is too much in gears i know all games really have the host advantage but you dont really notice it because it dosent have that big of an effect on the host but in gears its like the difference between a god and a man.

also i wish they would stop messing with teh power of the weapons everytime they change it they mess something up right now the lancer is too strong after the last update

Absolutely. It's one of the most unfair and frustrating online experiences on Live, yet the only game I seem to play nowadays. An absolute blast playing with friends.

If the online component of Gears was a little less flawed, this game would never leave my disc drive.
