the 360 is great and yes pro is the best value enless you want to buy downladable content which an elite has exact same peramiters except for a 120GB hd instead of the 20GB.
The only problem is the console breaking it happens a ton, but it is getting better out of the 6 of us (me and my friends) only mine has broken and i sent it in and recived a "new" s caled one which came back broken so im unlucky i guess.
everyone sees the bad in it but how many consoles are out there working fine probably 70%. Bad track record but good chance you shoul be fine.
the online is second to none it is great!
i say if you can handle the risk of it breaking, which in time it should be sorted out wether you get it repaired or replaced you will be happy with the choice.
COD 4 or HALO is a must for online community they are superb but are on both ends of the spectrum its all up to opinion on which you want or both
hope this helps
Now that I think it's apparent that Tales of Vesperia is coming to 360, I think it's about time to make the 360 my second console of choice. With that being said can anyone give me the lowdown on the different models/packages they have? I don't wanna seem like a noob but they have quite a few.....right?Airacomet
welcome to Xbox 360 :)
what is Tales of Vesperia?
Alright, so with the Pro can I get a balance of not paying to much but still getting the best value? (I don't wanna be cheap but it's still a factor)Airacomet
yeah i believe pro offers the best value; the elite is a bit unecessary tbh
basically, you'll want a pro console with mass effect and cod4fenwickhotmaillol, what you posted is exactly what I have...I only have mass effect and cod4...but that's all I need ;)

I'm gonna guess the newest installment in the RPG series "Tales of...." But then again, I could be horribly wrong lol.i say get arcade bundle if you are price concious. The free games are pretty useless, and you dont get a harddrive but you still can play everything the same way and it costs almost the same as a wii. i love tale games myself. I own the ps2 ones(including imports), the gc symphonia one, and one gba tales. If you are in it for the games and don't really care much for playing online then the arcade will do. You can still play online but you have to be concious of making tons of profiles and downloading stuff. THe arcade comes with a memory card too.

ahh, you have a wise choice in gaming my friend
You could also get the Arcade system for 299$.
The arcade comes with everything you need to play, but you only get a 256mb memory card instead of the Pro's 20gig or the elites 120 gig.
This isn't a big deal if you ONLY plan on playing games, but you won't be able to download demos, and you can only store one or two arcade games. If that's a non issue, it might work out. Also, you can upgrade to a 20gig or a 120gig harddrive at any time, but they are 100$ and 199$ respectively.
Also, the arcade only comes with a composite A/V cable, with means it won't output in HD. This isn't an issue if you only have an older non-HD tv, but if you have an HD, you won't be able to make use of it with just the arcade systems cables (You'd have to buy another one, they range from 20-70$, with the microsoft one at 49.99 I believe).
In short: if you just want to play games and not download anything, and have a non-hdtv, the arcade is a good way to go.
If you want to make use of Xbox's extensive marketplace, and/or you have an HDTV, go with the Pro.
TL:DR; I recommend the pro unless you're on a budget.

It's the newest game in the Tales of series, right after Knights of Ratatosk. It's pretty much Namco's top notch RPG series.Hey! Not a bad idea, I'm thinkin maybe Arcade buuuuut depending how much I like the system I might just go with Pro to be safe...You could also get the Arcade system for 299$.

If you are going to use xbox live at all, get the pro. (and btw, Live is awesome, it's by far the best console online service)
My 360 hasn't broken yet, and out of my 11 friends that have the console, one of them has had a hardware failure. He got the console fixed and it shipped back in 3 weeks, and he got a free arcade game.
The only thing that bugs me about the 360 is that it can occasionally sctrach the discs it doesn't destroy them/stop them from working, it just bugs me. Still, best game library, best online service, and the best game controller are hard to argue with.
pro perfect size for memory
120gb is kindof insaNE waste to spend other 100 on it
halo be fun after u get friends
fable 2 is a rpg in fall look in to it
lol thats wat i meant. i meant ps2 for destiny. however i wouldn't rush to buy the 360 unless you are buying it for other games or reasons. If the game has a ps2 version or wii version you might change your mind.peeweeshiftI've considered that too, and while I do love my Wii...........I love Tales more, after seeing the latest trailer, I need it! Not to mention Last Remnant, Infinite Discovery, and Fable 2 are looking pretty nice. So I wouldn't be making the purchase JUST for Vesperia...
Also, if you're a fan or RPGs, despite the 360s publicity as hardcore shooter only, it has tons of good ones.
For example, the hugely underrated game Overlord.
Eternal Sonata is fantastic. Oblivion. KUF (though that didn't do so well..). Lost Odyssea is coming out very soon. Infinite Undiscovery as well.
