ivé never had a 360 but i may buy one tomorrow. Honestly I just want the console to play games (online and offline) and i don´t care about using my 360 as a media entertainment center etc ... so that´s why i´m thinking about buying the core system and not the "premium" 360. Iv´e got 1 question though ... Does the core system come with a memory card so i can save my game progress or can i save my progress INSIDE the system like in the Wii??macho_c_a
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! buy the premium
much better trust me.. premium has eveerythin (including the hardrive; which core doesnt)
Yeah, get the extra money for the premium because it is worth it! You get the better stuff (component cables, wireless controller, harddrive, etc) and it just saves you money in the end especially if you plan on playing online. You may even want to wait for the Elite (April 27th I believe) because then you pay just $75 more and get an HDMI slot, 120 Gig harddrive, and it's black... Of course, the only reason you would want to wait for that is if you plan on using that much space and you have an hd tv that supports HDMI ( I have the HDMI but I don't need it and the 120 Gigs is excessive if you ask me, I have 9 gigs left out of 13 usable gigs on my harddrive). But at least wait the week to get money for the premium.nickdasticku can have 14 gigs most not 13. If u delete all that stuff that comes on HDD u'll have 14
If you really are strapped for cash, you might want to consider waiting. With the Elite out there they just might do a price drop, and you can pick up a used HDD for cheap, especially if people are buying the new 120gig.
Otherwise I would go with the premium. The ablility to update games to fix bugs is worth the extra 100 alone.
Whichever one you plan on buying consider purchasing the warrenty for it. Just look at how big the "MY XBOX is Broken" threead is. Or hold out ofr the Elite, rumor has it, that it should be more stable. (But Im still going to wait and see)roc74Well you get a year warranty from MS...The Elites may feature the newer Benq or Phillips drives which I believe make it less noisy, and eliminates game scratching...but they still use that 90nm chip. I think thats the biggest reason why there is that failure rate.
