Thinking about getting a 360

dont waste money on the 360. I bought 360 for 2 weeks and I was so dissapointed,  it's nothing compare to PS3.

Save your money for better PS3 games.

If you really need that extra 79 dollars then don't go with the Elite but if you can spare them then go with the Elite. It has 120GB where the Premium only has 20GB. Also, if you ever decide to get a 1080p TV you will be set. And if you already have one then even better.

And Gears of War is an excellent first choice to start off with. However, I would advise you to also get 12 months of Live Gold. You can get it in any store that sells games for 50 dollars I think. 

You have to see if there are any games on the 360 that appeal to you. The 360 has the biggest variety of games out of the 3 next gen systems so there shouldnt be any real difficulty in finding a game or games you want to play.

I have have really enjoyed my 360 since getting it last November, i think its a fantastic console and well worth the money.

He is gonna be saving that money for a really long time if he waits for PS3 games.  

I would definatley recommend the 360, get the premium unless you have a 1080p TV and think you will need 120GB.  GOW is a great start I have had it since the day it came out and still play it all the time.

Yes the 360 has alot of shooters, but it also has alot of other genres to choose from.

anyways, if you are just graduating from highschool, shouldnt you use that money to help buy more important NECESSARY items?  Ya know, for college and stuff.  'specially since you already have a PS3 and wii

Hell yeah, get a 360.

I think it has the best online system, and the best selection of quality games of the three new consoles. I own one, and a Wii, and I'm getting a PS3 soon.

But if you want some more advice from me, I'd suggest getting a Premium XBox 360. That's what I have, and I really don't see the point in getting the Elite. Sure, black > white, and the HD and HDMI is great, but IMO it's just not worth it. I think the Premium is just fine.

Gears of War is a perfect game to start off with a 360. I would go with the Elite if you want to spend the extra money.

uhh, if you really want that much harddrive then the Elite, if your not that kind of a guy , definitly the premium,

its WORTH IT man, best system i have bought, i did have hardware problems but overall its great, get the HD DVD drive if you want HD movies

i was only taking into account good games. exapmles,  crackdown, gears, splinter cell,graw.

Viva Pinata is garbage as it is made by 4kids and anything they do they screw up bigtime (one piece anybody)

Command and Conquer 3, Battle for Middle Earth 2, are not exclusive, and are better on pc (way better with a mouse).

Test Drive Unlimited is garbage compared to motorstorm.

Forza 2,Burnout Revenge,Ridge Racer 6,Moto GP 06 maybe the only exceptions here.

PGR 3 was garbage and boring as hell.

Oblivion was garbage for me, i know a lot of people liked it, but it is one more exception, and NOTHING compared to final fantasy 12 or 10.

all the EA sports titles,(sports games don't count, they're released for everyone with basically no exclusivity.

Blue Dragon (come on, it's 3 discs long and will be the ONLY good rpg on 360.)

and Eternal Sonata?( you can't tell me you're going to play some corny rpg that has some completely random and unnecessary base around chopin's death and music? the three main characters name in the screenshots are beat, allegretto, and polka. what the crap?)

so i'll change my stance to say 360 is the console to buy if all you play are shooting and racing games.

did you see he didn't even mention half the good games that are or will be available for 360?  Forza 2 is simply AMAZING, R6:Vegas was super addicting, i think there's this game coming out called Halo 3...  Oh, what about that one other game... what's it called, Mass Effect or something like that?

He's right though. Oblivion sucks. It's cool if you've never played an RPG before, but go play Daggerfall or Morrowind. Please. It's everything Oblivion should have been. 

I haven't played Morrowind (i'll get it when i'm done with oblivion), but I've got Oblivion for PC, and I can say that there are a whole bunch of mods that make Oblivion a million times better.  Which is why you should get oblivion for PC;)... wait, what am i saying, just get Morrowind for PC:P

but to stay on topic...  the elite looks pretty cool.  if you've got hdmi, why not get the elite?  120 gb HDD, HDMI, and it's black!!!!   It's only 80 bucks more, that's just a little over a game.

but like i said in my first post here, since you already have all the other stuff... just get games for your other consoles or get some other useful stuff.... like some one else said, why would you have all three consoles?
