thinking about getting a 360 and...

is this one online ready right out of the box...i have a wireless router that works with my wii so i know it works.but i was wondering if i would have to buy a special reciever or something with this model. this is the cheeapest one i could find so ill prolly get this one.

i asked my mom about the long wire...she says that she doesnt want wires running all through our family room...but thats so cheap of microsoft making u pay 100 more dollers just to play online

you wont be able to download no demos/movies download contact/ new maps for games and alot more because the memory card can not hold that stuff because its to small

all consals come with 3 30 day gold acconts so if you dont wanna you dont have to pay the 20-50 bucks for xbox live right alway (just a hint if you low on cash)

Hate to break it to ya... not only do you pay for a wireless adapter... you also pay another $50 to sign up for an online account. Then you have to buy the games, then the rechargeable batteries for the controllers (and another extra controller). It'll add up.

People will call me a troll for this, but with all the extra crap you have to buy, you are better off getting a PS3 which comes with wireless and free online.

If you have carpet in the room you are hooking it up in or baseboarding along the wall it is fairly easy to 1) use a coat hangar to run a string under the carpeting along the tacking stip (or barring that just lift it up depending on how old the carpetting is) and then pull the ethernet cord through thus making it invisible or 2) squeeze it under the baseboarding again making the cable invisible.

100 bucks for the wireless adapter is robbery IMO and I refuse to pay for it when I can buy a 25ft CAT 5e cable for less than 10. Thankfully I live in an apartment that I will be moving out of soon and have no problem taping a 25ft ethernet cord to the wall :P

They aren't "making" you.

You're just gonna have to get the online adapter. It sucks that it costs so much. Maybe try amazon, it should only be like 70-80 bucks there.
