First of all this is not a bait or whatever, this is a serious question. I already have a ps3, I think it's obvious from my sig. I was just wondering about what hot games the xbox has at the moment? Couple of years ago the 360 owned the ps3 (game wise), now I believe it's the other way around. Is there any major releases this year that aren't multiplatform? I don't like Halo too much I think it's overhyped, but gears on the other hand is a gem, mass effect looks great, ace combat is way better than tom clancy's hawx, and fable looks alright. Are there any other games I ammissing?

2nd point: is there going to be any price drop soon? If not what is the best console per price and features I can get? I don't think I will play online since I don't like to pay for something that should be free.

3rd point: Which models wouldI look for that are less prone to give me a RROD? I heard they manifactured new motherboards with smaller chips or something like that.

Thanks in advance.

1. Saints Row 2 or Saints Row 1 is off the chain. Plus, the new battlefield game and modern combat will be out later this year.

2nd point: is there going to be any price drop soon? If not what is the best console per price and features I can get? I don't think I will play online since I don't like to pay for something that should be free.

2. Shouldn't need a price drop the system pays it self off every penny when you play on xbox live. Xbox Live is the best online gaming service that I know of.

2. I've been a gold member since launch. The new motion sensor controller will be out soon too.

3rd point: Which models would I look for that are less prone to give me a RROD? I heard they manifactured new motherboards with smaller chips or something like that.

3. I've never had the RROD since launch but, I've had xbox's freeze a lot. Just buy a new Xbox 360 off the shelf at your local electronics store don't buy used. All the new one's no matter if they are regular, premium, or elite their boards are better.

Thanks in advance.

Xbox 360 has many, many more exclusive titles than the PS3. I do agree that GoW is a great franchise. I tracked the original Fable the very first time I heard about it. Come to think of it, nearly all Xbox 360 exclusive titles are among the best games released for any console this generation. Oblivion, Fallout 3, Mass Effect, Gears of War, Forza 2 (if you love racing and want the most realistic racing game ever made), Bioshock was incredible!!!!. As a hardcore gamer, I honestly could not live without a 360. I couldn't live without Xbox Live, for that matter. But, if you have a well-equipped PC (this is what my friend does), I believe every single 360-exclusive title is also available on PC (because of Microsoft). He buys his PS3 exclusive games for that, and then just buys all the PC/360-exclusive games for the PC.

Fable, Gears of War, Halo, Mass Effect, Tales of Vesperia, Banjo Kazooie, Forza and the exclusive JRPG's are 360's big hitters.
You might as well get an arcade if you're not planning on getting demos or installing your games. I'm pretty sure that most new models have the Jasper chip in them, when is reported to highly decrease RROD.

1 point = rainbow six las vegas 1 and 2, RE5, tales of vesperia, Lost Odyssey, Ace combat 6, Fallout 3, oblivion 2 point = There might or might not be a price drop and I think u should get a pro version with either the 20 or 60GB 3 point = no matter what version of the xbox you are getting, try to look for the one with jasper chips inside. It is said that RROD will be reduced greatly to very little chance.(That is if you know how to take care of your xbox 360.)

I myself have a xbox 360 with jasper inside and it runs much cooler after an extended amount of playing time in one day(13 hours straight). However, do try to keep your xbox 360 away from dust.

Some good exclusives:

Mass Effect

The Lost and Damned (but you need GTA4 as well...)

*sigh* Gears of War/2 (A lot of fun to play SP/Coop, but I am not a fan of the MP... but I guess that doesn't matter in your case...)

Halo 3

Fable 2

Dead Rising

Crackdown

IMO, you should get Live though... it is only ~$40 (from Amazon) for an entire year... A lot of PS3 users see it as a bad thing... but here is something a lot of them don't see... I bought my 360 at launch (2005) and my PS3 at launch(2006)... I have bought 4 years of Live so far (every year since release)... Money spent on 360: $410 (for a Premium Console and 4 years of Live)... Money spent on PS3: $600 (Just a 60GB PS3...)... PS3 still cost more... people act like Microsoft is sucking gamers dry with $15 a month fees like WoW or something... not true... At todays prices... if you bought a base model 360... you could also buy 5 years of Live before you get to the price of the base PS3 model...

I just bought my 360 in Feb 09 and even though the 360 line up for 09 is...not that great...I'm still highly enjoying it because I have about 3 years worth of exclusives/games to pick up. Games like Gears of War, Lost Odyssey, I even plan on getting the older multiplats because why get them on PS3 when I can get em on 360 and get a little extra for em (Acheivements, Performance). Also games are pretty cheap now since it's been 3 years lol. Go for it!

You know that RE5, Fallout 3 and oblivion are all on ps3 right? :), thanks anyway I will try to look for the Jasper one. I heard about a game called Alan Wake, I think it's going to be great.

As posters above me said.. get a Jasper chip indeed, and for the games..

Gears 1/2, Mass Effect (if u don't have a PC that can run it), Fable II, Left4Dead (see MassEffect), Banjo 3, Viva Pinata (can be good fun when yer bored :P), and some arcade gems like Castle Crashers or Braid

And of course the Achievements.. imo a better system then trophies

I say even if you dont find many exclusives on the 360 id still get one just because the Xbox 360's online blows PS3 out of the water, i've played COD4 on both PS3 and 360 and id have to say i prefer the 360 by far, this is how i see the consoles..........

xbox 360 - online play/DLC

PS3 - movies/solo play

Wii - family get together/party play

I'm not even going to suggest games. I think the 360 has a much better online community and is much more organized. The achievement system is fantastic and will keep you addicted for a long time. Try getting a newer arcade 360 and then buy the live starter kit and you should be good to go.

I've been biding my time waiting until FF 13 comes to buy a 360 or a Ps3. Then I found out about Mistwalker a company that makes games by the guy who invented Final Fantasy. That and a realisation of a far bigger collection of games , well I just bought a 360 pro. With the jasper and went online to upgrade to the new xbox experience or whatever its called and I can save DL games to the 60 gig HD .

I should add I'm a PS guy still own my PSX , PS2 and PSP 2000.

So exclusives I can recomend Blue Dragon and Lost oddyssey.

Also Mass Effect.
