I'm not sure of the exact, but it's pretty good. It's only bad when loading new areas, plus frequent load times, still a great game though. Plus, you never have to upgrade your 360!Shrapnel99most games on 360 and ps3 only run 30
never have to upgrade?hmmm whats the eilte and that update that upgraded the 360 to do 1080 p?
hey i was wondering if i should shell out 600 to upgrade my comp or just buy a 360 and it seems the pcs always struggle to maintain high frame rates. what is a game like oblivion's frame rate? im hoping all the games are 50+ fpstigerballer
New to console gaming are you? Console games standardly provide 30 FPS. There are one or two games out there that strive for 60 FPS, but that's really only one or two. If I remember correctly, and I could be wrong, so far the only game that is going to run 60 FPS is Forza 2. All the other games out and announced are running/going to run 30 FPS.

Ehm, the Elite doesn't upgrade any performance and the update for 1080p was a free Dashboard update...
Games dont have to be more then 30 Fps cuz the eye cant see any faster then that. The good thing with a high frame rate is that can go down a bit but you dont notice it. If there where a game that constantly was on 30FPS you would not be able to notice any slowdowns in the picture.. Most 360 games runs at 30 FPS as mentioned above, but some of them does not have steady frame rate, like oblivion when very much is happening on the screen it tends to slow down abit but not as much so it is unplayable..tony_fjellborgif your eyes could only see 30 fps then no one would ever make anything beyong that, there wouldnt be any point, and screen refresh rates above 60htz would be pointless and everything in real life would look just the same as the computer games. Your eyes can see way above 30fps, ive read pages that reckon over 120 fps is easily realistic.

COD2, COD3(not steady) and a few others have ran at 60fps also.
im thinking of using a 19" widescreen lcd monitor or a 27" tube t.v.
by the way which is better to play on?
does the ps3 generally have better frame rates? i know it does for obliviontigerballer
Considering the fact that the ps3 version was redone to be better than the 360 in that specific department and far off visual, no the ps3 does not have better frames rates. It depends on the developers
it really depends on the television as to whether frame rate will be a problem not the xbox 360.Chief_Gamer
What? Unless you have an acient tv circa 1940s the tv will not be causing the frame rate problem. All modern TV sets under NTSC regions are capable of outputing at 60 Hz (read 60 fps) and higher. To suggest that the xbox is faultless when it comes to frame rates is ignorant. There are games that will make the 360 chug on the frame rate. Quake 4, Just Cause, and Rainbow Six Vegas are just a few that sometimes chug, but it's not a TV issue, it's the game/xbox that is the source.

Thank you, I'm getting sick and tired of misinformed people saying TV's are the deciding factor for console framerates. Your television has NOTHING to do with framerate.
you have no clue what yur talking about. "The blu ray helps te game real well" How old are you anyways? Blu-ray has nothing to do with a console's frame rate. Its over all CPU proformance. Go play your PS3 and leave us XBOTS in peace.it's horrible, the 360 makes games have bad framerate. If u care about frame rate, or in fact good games dont buy a 360, buy a ps3, the blu ray REALLY helps te game real well,
